I would like to thank you for clicking this page, I hope you enjoy what i've got in store for this fic, 'cause believe me, its one hell of a ride. Before I start though, I would just like you all to know that his fic is inspired more by animé-esque themes and doesn't follow a traditional PR/Sentai map out...Regardless, its something i've worked hard on so I hope you enjoy :)

[Prologue]

It is the 24th of April, 2012, the world is currently overun with shadowy-demons, dark spirits that have manifested from the very depths of Earth's core. Precisely 6 years ago to this day, there was a severe earthquake in a city known as Crystal Peak, it blew the rictor scales and caused a gaping crack down the centre of the, now completely demolished city, with little over a few hundred survivors in what used to be a massive metropolis of thriving and successful humans, the city was now in a complete wreck. When things were thought to be at their lowest, things went from bad to worse as a group of black, inky, humanoid creatures crawled from the gaping hole in the centre of the city. They ignored the living humans at first, grabbing the dead corpses of those killed in the earthquake and dragging them down to their depths with them. Over the course of the next few days, more and more creatures began emerging and when there were no corpses left for them to take away, they began attacking humans.

The military of defence granted a group of expert scientists the cash and permission to build a rebellion force that would protect the civillians within Crystal Peak. Designing a batch of super-human warriors was their first aim, they took several near-death hospital patients and through scientific ways, managed to heal their wounds and give them such impecable powers that it would surely rival that of these inky demons. But just as the test subjects were about to be awoken, an attack was launched on the laboratory, through the clouds of dust stepped a young female with pitch black hair and a strange demonic layer of skin covering parts of her body, this was obviously what the demons had wanted from the corpses in the first place - a body to transfer themselves onto to become a solid beings, her name, was Reina. With the laboratory destroyed, some of the test subjects were kidnapped whilst others were considered too young and frail to be part of the demons higher project.

Six months later, a new project had been created, rather than wrongly mutating humans, the military of defence now created several super human suits that would appear on the desired human when necessary, these suits used a unique energy source only found within a select few - the power of the soul (it was name that as it looked like an inner flame, which is often linked with the appearance of a soul). Nothing was really known about this "soul power" but the scientists had discovered it within certain people in the city which must have been a result of the gases leaked from the huge crevice in the centre of Crystal Peak. Slowly, but surely, the desired warriors for these suits were tracked down and taken to a huge monumental building once known as the tallest scientific building in the world, it had been revamped...It was now called "The Above", a high-tech training facility for those rebelling against the demonic threat that still had little known about it.

With the six year marking, since the first demon took its footsteps on Earth now upon us, Reina's plan to launch a gigantic palace that will cut Crystal Peak off from the rest of the world is soon to be realised...But with only three out of four Soul Strikers found and prepared to put their life on the line, does Earth really stand a chance, this time around?

[Episode 1 of 2: The Silver Streak]

A clock ticked ever so closer to 10PM, it was at this point, 23 seconds from striking the top point of the clock, which in turn, would erupt in a loud chiming lasting 10 rings. A top of the rather small, Big Ben replica stood a shadowy figure, most definately belonging to a female around 20 years old. She stood still, her thick black locks of hair blowing across her beautiful Italian face.

"You can come out now" she whispered, keeping her eyes closed as the moonlight's shadow shifted at a high speed.

Lucia Blair sprang backwards, her timing was a little off due to such a speedy response from the clad-black creature she was now left facing. It stood exactly where she had just been standing, dripping black ink from its mouth. Its eyes glowed a bright yellow, so bright that if looked at long enough, it could probably cause temporary blindness.

In another rapid movement, Lucia ducked to the side, batting the creatures talons away from her arm, she followed up the rolling action with an attempt at swiping its legs from beneath it, but she was too slow. The Tarik spat ink at her. She quickly rolled backwards and pulled a golden device from her pocket.

"Soul fire, ignite!" she screamed, over the sound of the clock tower's loud rings.

In a flash of azure light, Lucia had gone. The Tarik raised it's nose to the air and began looking around for any trace of her, but by the time it had figured out her location, Lucia was already up close, behind it. She ducked a desperate swipe from the Tarik and responded with a deadly uppercut, causing it to stumble back as she flipped forward and pressed the bottom of her boots into its chest.

The Tarik was now clinging for its life [so to speak] on the edge of the tower.

"Wheres your big talk now, huh?" she smirked.

Pressing her boot down on the Tarik's hand, she smiled beneath her helmet as it whimpered with pain. Lucia then stomped on its hand and moved back, allowing it to fall to the shadows below.

"Easy as pie" Lucia pressed her belt and demorphed, allowing the suit to return to her morpher.

She began walking away when a weird stretching noise could be heard. She began running, sweating almost as soon as she heard the noise...But it was too late, a purple claw grasped her ankle and began dragging her towards a shadowy figure at the edge of the clock tower.

"This isn't fair! You cheated!" Lucia groaned, pouting as the claw retracted to the shadows hand and it stepped forward.

What appeared to be a Tarik, pulled off its skin which turned the suit into a white fabric. A smirking asian man stood in its place. He dropped the suit to the ground and pressed a botton in the middle of the air, causing the virtual reality tower to vanish, which was replaced with a pure white room.

"You're an asshole, Rye"

"Shouldn't have stepped on my hands then should you?" Rye responded with a smirk.

"It was a training excercise, I was only doing what I would have normally done" Lucia responded, pushing herself up from the ground and grabbing a bottle of water from the side of the room.

An opening appeared in one of the walls as an african man stepped through, roughly the same age as Lucia and Rye, he was wearing uniforms like them, but his had crimson stripes on it rather than blue and purple [respectively].

"Kyan, did you see what he did? He just can't handle the fact that I kicked his ass" Lucia took a gulp of her water, trying to calm down a little.

Smirking, Kyan patted Rye on the back. "You're lucky, he only dragged you along." he smiled at Rye, who was less than happy to have the support from Kyan, but the crimson leader continued anyway. "Have you seen what he's done to his training partners in the past?"

Lucia groaned, she had gotten too caught up in the action. "He couldn't hurt me if he tried"

"Wanna go again?" Rye looked up, brushing his hair from his left eye which was badly scarred.

"I sure d-"

Her voice was cut off as an intercom message rang out, through the training room. "Could Mr. Bluu, Anderson and Ms. Blair all report to Mr. Iron's office immediatly".

Rye swerved past Kyan and exitted the training room without saying a word.

"Can't we all just get along?" Kyan shrugged, nudging Lucia forward and leaving the room in darkness behind the two of them as the light was switched off.

*****

In the centre of Crystal Peak, sat a bulk pile of buildings. It appeared as if they had been vaccumed into a gaping hole in the centre of the city, through the smoke and fog surrounding area, there stood a series of gigantic buildings, blatently hand-crafted due to their rough appearance and weird designs that had spirals erupting from every angle.

Within the smallest of the towers, sat, Reina, her legs crossed and her gigantic paw resting on her lap. It's red eye was monitoring the rest of the room and often groaned at Reina for staying so calm.
Reina abruptly stood up, her demonic heels clapped onto the rock floor below her throne. "Speed it up you ugly ink blobs, I have a palace to raise and I can't do that if you're all just kicking the crap out of each other" her claw stretched out, slicing a Tarik into pieces to make her statement solid.

"Anyone caught slacking within the next 8 hours, for even a second, will be shredded into dust" Reina cackled, stepping out and breathing in the poisonous gas that surrounded her palace. "Satan will be please, he will be very, very pleased" she smirked.

As she stood still, a Tarik came up behind her. Acting upon instinct, Reina spun around, smashing her heel into its chest. The Tarik squirmed, struggling for its life as Reina looked upon it.

"What do you want?" she asked

The creature blurted out a random set of roars, which were understood thanks the the heik as "we've found the boy".

Reina dropped the Tarik. "Send a Demo-Tarik to take care of him" the Tarik nodded and ran off.

A Demo-Tarik was the strongest of the Tarik's, pure muscle, every inch of its inky body covered in tentacles capable of crushing buildings with a mere whip. Even the Soul Strikers wouldn't be ready for this.

*****

Mr. Iron's office was your traditional office, upon the walls of beige and red sat a portrait of his family, shining down its brilliant reflection on an oak desk joint with an expensive chair behind it and topped off with an expensive ruby rug and small fish tank in the corner, by the water cooler. He was a traditional man and liked keeping things that way.

Lucia stood arkwardly and slightly behind Kyan and Rye who were stood up straight, facing Kenneth Irons with no sign of emotion on their faces.

"I have a new mission for the three of you" Kenneth spoke rudely and in a slightly loud manner.

Sliding a file forward, Kenneth looked blankly at the three. "Take it then!"

Rye grunted, stepping forward, he opened the file and saw an image of a 18 year old male, above it was his name.

"Leon Silvermane" Lucia read outloud.

"He will be your 4th team member, I want you to fetch him from the Oaklihoad apartments and return with him and his things within the hour" Kenneth turned his back to the group and waved his hand in the air, dismissing them.

"But sir, the apartments are at least a 20 minute drive away and then there's the chance that he turns us down" Kyan tried taking a diplomatic approach, he knew that Kenneth would take away their powers, even if they were the cities only hope.

"Then you better get going" Kenneth sipped his coffee.

*****

A silver Hummer sped down a cracked freeway, every so often, the bumps in the road would cause the car to briefly fly into the air, before crashing back down on the tarmac surface. This, to the team, was a smooth ride in comparisson to some of the other routes that they could have taken.

Rye was at the wheel, his lips tightly shut and a frown painted on his face as he ignored his two comrades talking in the back seats of the Hummer.

"Think Reina will be after Leon too?" Lucia questioned, she was casually flicking through a fashion magazine dating back about 5 years.

Kyan noticed the date on the front of the magazine. "That explains it" he chuckled to himself, ignoring Lucia's quesiton.

"Explains what?" she looked up, fiery eyed.

Rye broke his silence. "Dont say it, Kyan"

The car went into silence as Lucia shot a death stare at the two of them. "Say, what?!" she yelled.

"Its just...That magazine is 5 years old, Luce" Kyan shuffled across the seat to put some distance between them, he was suddenly regretting his inner quip.

"So, you of all people is trying to mock how I dress? Of course im freakin' behind on fashion, we're locked in this hell zone! And we have to wear these ridiculous uniforms!" Lucia threw the book at Kyan and silence re-entered the Hummer.

"Told you not to" Rye added. Ending the conversation.

Lucia spent the rest of the way avoiding Kyan's puppydog eyed expression, something he ended up doing alot after putting his foot in it. Kyan was a great leader, but when it came to females, he didn't stand a chance.

The Hummer took a dodgy turn, flipped around the corner and almost bailed over due to a mound in the middle of the road. Rye kept a good hold on the steering wheel and pulled up outside of a small set of condemned apartments.

"You sure this is the place?" Lucia accidentally questioned Kyan.

"Yup, Oaklihoad apartments, don't forget that nearly every building in this city is condemned now" it was as if Kyan had just switched leader-mode back on.

The trio walked towards the flats and were about to enter when a beeping sound erupted from Rye's pocket. Pulling his golden morpher out, it folded out into a GPS navigating device that notified them of nearby demons.

"One Tarik, its a big one though" he flipped his morpher away and looked towards Kyan.

"Lucia, you go talk to Leon, we'll deal with the Tarik" Kyan pushed Lucia a little and began running towards the back of the apartments where the beeping signal directed them to.

"Do I look like im great with the whole socialising thing?" Lucia sighed, watching the guys run away.

*****

The inside of the apartments looked much nicer than the outside. The walls were still intact and fully decorated, with the odd picture frame slanted and even the stairs were still together. Lucia couldn't understand how somewhere so close to the epicentre of the earthquake could withstand it all with such little interial damage.

Disregarding her questions, she continued to run up the stairs - she'd learnt not to trust elevators in this city a long, long time ago. "Why did he have to be in the apartment on the top floor?!" she yelled, feeling her lungs heat up the more air she breathed in.

It took roughly 7 minutes of solid running for Lucia to reach the top floor and by this point, she wasn't too pleased. "Im starting to wish that those stairs weren't there" she sighed.

"701" she spoke outloud. Knocking on the door, she heard a stumbling noise, then a scraping noise and finally, the door unbolted and an attractive, pale skinned guy with blue eyes and spikey black hair stood in front of her in a pair of black and white boxer-briefs.

"You're late, you know" Leon smiled, holding up an adult pornography leaflet. "Its Candice right..No, not Candice...Um...Lana?"

Lucia didn't know how to respond to him, this guy was the one to help the team? She had her doubts alright, alot of them. "Lucia Blair, representative of The Above" she held out her badge to the now, tomatoey-red teenager.

"May I come in?" she questioned.

"Sure, if anyone asks you about the whole callgirl thing, don't tell them though, 'kay?" Leon questioned, sliding a pizza box away for Lucia to enter, once she was inside, he closed the door.

Leon entered his kitchen and left Lucia to admire his "tasteful" decor. His entire room was littered with pizza boxes, alcohol bottles and girls underwear.

Ten minutes passed.

"Nice place" she yelled into the kitchen.

He exitted the kitchen, wearing a black pair of skinny jeans, a silver shirt and a black leather jacket. "Hah, girl with sarcasm, I like that" he bit into a slice of old pizza and sat sipping water from a dish.

"So, what you here for then?" Leon put his feet up.

Lucia slid a banana skin from a chair and sat beside him, "Im here to offer you an opportunity to join The Above and destroy the demons that caused this chaos in the city."

"Hey, I got no beef with demons, they didn't do this to the city, the earthquake did" Leon smiled.

Rolling her eyes, the blue ranger was very tempted to punch this scumbag in the face, but she kept her cool as she promised herself, she would.

"The demons are plotting right now and without your help, the Earth could be in danger" Lucia sighed, dropping back on the chair she breathed out, followed by a shriek as a pink, lace thong hit her on the head.

"I think that was Candice's" Leon replied, finshing off his pizza and avoiding the offer made to him by Lucia.

*****

Outside, the battle raged on between Rye, Kyan and the Demo-Tarik. Kyan had just morphed into his crimson suit and had followed up Rye's uppercut to the muscled creature with a leg swipe, causing it to tumble from the top floor of the building towards the ground.

Rye leapt from the top of the building, his hand morphed into its demonic form. "Lets see how he likes a taste of his own medicine". Outstretching his hand, Rye slammed the demonic fist in the chest of the Demo-Tarik, but was grabbed by the wrist and spun off into a batch of trees.

Whilst the Demo-Tarik was focussing on Rye, Kyan gathered a fireball in his hand and tossed it at the back of the Demo-Tarik, causing it to roar in pain. He then somersaulted forwards and elbowed the creature's shoulder.

Rye was now up and feeling rather sore, he watched Kyan get batted away into another patch of fostery and decided it was best to take this fight higher up again.

Running at a high speed, Rye pressed one foot on the wall, then another and continued to keep his speed as he heard the Demo-Tarik jump into the air from below, quickly catching up with Rye, it reached out and punched Rye through the wall.

A loud scream came from the top of the building, Kyan's body froze up, he knew that scream...It was Lucia.

A top the building, beneath a pile of rubble, Lucia squirmed, attempting to free herself from it to avoid being squashed by the Demo-Tarik that was towering over. Rye was unconcious in the corner and Leon was no where to be seen.

End of Episode 1.

Thanks for the support guys :)

I decided to post this early to try and hopefully gain a few more reviews...Dunno if it'll work:

[Episode 2 of 2: The Silver Streak]

Kyan pushed himself up. What did he do? Where was Rye? This had never happened before and he didn't know if he really wanted to see what the Demo-Tarik was doing to his comrades.

Pushing back his anxiety, Kyan began running towards the side of the building when a loud roar was heard. He stopped still.

At the top of the building, the Demo-Tarik flew backwards, hanging off the side of the collapsed wall with its remaining arm. The other one had been sliced clean off.

"What the hell?" Kyan had never seen a Demo-Tarik struggle like this before, it would usually take all three of them just to injure the creature.

Kyan quickly ascended the side of the building, leaping up over the Demo-Tarik, he seized the opportunity, gathering a huge fireball above his head. "Bye bye" he spoke calmly, throwing the fireball into the face of the Demo-Tarik.

It screamed in pain and fell to the ground, exploding into a mushroom cloud of purple gas.

Inside the apartment, Rye was now concious and demorphed, he was holding his broken arm and leaning limply in the corner whilst Lucia was still stuck under the rubble. "Who sliced off its arm?" he questioned.

From the side of the room, Leon stepped forward, a triangular scar on his left eye glowed in a strange silver manner, the glow made the marking look fresh and new. "I did" Leon smiled, dropping a samurai sword to the ground.

Leon left Kyan in shock whilst he moved some of the rubble and pulled Lucia to her feet. "Are you okay?" he asked her, looking at Kyan to tell him that, that should had been his first question.

Rye moved from the corner of the room and began to speak. "It was incredible, Kyan, Leon's eye flashed silver and the next thing I remember is the Demo-Tarik flying off the edge off the building". If Rye was impressed, this boy was something incredible.

"Is he coming with us?" Kyan dismissed what Rye had just explained and looked directly at Lucia.

Lucia turned her face to Leon. The scar he now had on his eye wasn't there before the fight, but she didn't think about that right now. "It's up to you" she smiled.

Leon sat Lucia down and left the room in silence.

Kyan demorphed and pulled Lucia up. "Lets go, he was a waste of our time"

The group began walking away when footsteps were heard. Leon stood with a silver dufflebag over his shoulder and smile on his face, as if nothing had happened. His scar had now vanished.

"You extend and invitation and leave? How rude" he winked at Lucia.

*****

Back at The Above, the group all stumbled into the reception, Leon was the only one who actually looked in perfect condition.

A young blonde woman greeted them, her hair was neatly tied back and her attire made it clear that she was someone important.

"I think i'm going to like this place, already" Leon admired the beautiful woman in front of them.

"Show some respect to Ms. Irons" Kyan grunted at Leon.

Christina Irons waved over a few members of medical staff whom quickly carried Lucia and Rye off towards the medical wing.

Leon watched the two of them being moved away and frowned. "Will they be okay?" his question, directed at Christina.

"They'll be fine, now, lets get you all set up." she smiled brightly, showing off her pearly white teeth. "Shall we?" Christina walked in front of the two boys.

"Control your hormones" Kyan scrunched his face up, unimpressed at where Leon's eyes were facing.

"So where were you when your team-mates were about to die?" Leon knew it would end the conversation, he walked forwards and began talking to Christina.

******

A white, metal door slid open, causing the lights in the small dormatory to light up and shine down on the pristine room. It was a small room with no windows, but it had a freshly made double bed, flat screen tv and a small refrigerator in the corner.

"This place is the shit!" Leon exclaimed, tossing his bag on the ground and launching himself onto the bed. "Big enough for two" he laughed, looking at Christina.

Christina dismissed Leon's half joke, half invitation and slid a wall open, showing off a wardrobe of black and silver uniforms. "Since you're here, you'll need to wear these whilst on duty, all uniforms are suitable for all weather conditions and body sizes"

Leon got up and examined the uniform. "A little neat for me, but rules are rules" he smiled.

"Im surprised you'd know what rules even are" Kyan smirked from behind Christina.

"Hiding behind a woman, not surprising" Leon retorted.

"Chill your testosterone boys"

Christina threw a golden device into Leon's hands, this one had a silver jewel in the middle. "When the time comes, the team will explain how to use that"

Turning away from Leon, Christina smiled. "My father wants to see you in his office within the hour, please dont be late. He's not a patient man" she exitted the room and tugged at Kyan's arm, forcing him to walk away, giving Leon some privacy.

Leon's smile faded as Kyan and Chrstina left. He closed the door and unhooked a uniform from the wardrobe, immediatly changing.

"I need to find out what's really going on here" he spoked to himself, changing and looking at the small, built-in mirror on the side of the wall.

Ever since Leon's eye had flashed silver, he had been getting strange flashbacks. This building was most definately in one of them. The medical wing that he caught a glimpse of in particular caught his interest.

"Time to explore" Leon left his dorm and walked down the white halls, it was like something from a creepy hospital dream, the air had a terribly familiar adour to it which, for some reason, made Leon want to vomit.

He passed through the hallways he had been guided through and reached the reception. The medical wing was locked off thanks to a fingerprint system.

Leon walked up to the receptionist and was about to try out his charms when his scar lit up again, unlocking the medical wing doorway. "What the-" Leon rubbed his eye and entered the medical wing.

The first few steps into this environment were painful, his head felt like it was going to explode, the longer he walked, the more painful it was until the point where he couldn't stand up.

Dropping to the ground, Leon blanked out as he saw a final glimpse of Christina.

*****

Leon opened his eyes, he was sat amongst Rye, Kyan and Lucia in a red and beige office. "Huh? How did I get here?" he asked.

"You walked?" Lucia questioned, showing a worried expression on her face.

"Your injuries are healed?" Leon questioned, everything was so painfully confusing right now.

"We can morph into superhuman warriors, of course were fine now" Rye waved his once-broken arm in the air and smiled. "The medical staff here are genius'"

"Now that Mr. Silvermane is apart of the team" Kenneth turned around in his chair. "We're ready to start taking down the demons, you can all start right now in the warehouse by Leonard Street."

The three stood up and began walking out the room, there was no point in asking questions that wouldn't get any answers right about now.

"So, what did you want to see me about?" Leon asked.

Kenneth turned away and waved his arm.

"Heh, asshole" Leon left the room and Kenneth behind. He wasn't even sure if everything that he had just done was a dream or not...It seemed real and he was wearing the uniform he put on, but everything was so eerie and confusing.

*****

The warehouse on Leonard Street was not your average, small warehouse, this spanned about the length of eight buildings and was poorly lit by cheap bulbs, the walls were made of reinforced titanium, making it look more like a bomb shelter than anything else.

Rye and Kyan lead the group, holding up two small torches to light their way. According to the detector, there was a human in here along with a good twenty or so, Tarik's.

"Man, this place is creepy" Lucia rubbed her arms, breathing out a cold patch of foggy air from her mouth as the cold entered her lungs.

Leon, by this point was terrified, but knew if he shown any signs of weakness, Kyan would be right at him, laughing, so he kept a strong front up, staying close to Lucia.

As the group walked, Leon fumbled about with his morpher in his hand, the explaination of how to use it seemed simple enough, but he hadn't even tested it yet. He pressed a button and it slipped through his fingers, rolling across the floor towards a dark corner.

"Crap!" he whispered to himself, dropping back from the group who hadn't even noticed he had gone missing.

Leon walked towards the corner of the room where he saw a yellowy glow. Assuming it was his morpher, he reached blindly forwards and touched something wet, he pulled his hand back and began backtracking.

"Guys? Where's Leon?" Lucia looked around.

"Great, he's going to die on the first mission" Kyan yelled, with a complete lack of care for the situation.

Suddenly, a bright flash of silver erupted from the corner of the room and a Tarik catapulted towards the group.

"Soul fire, ignite!" the group yelled in unison, each exploding in their own batches of colour and temporarily lighting the room up.

Lucia ran across the room, leaping over a group of Tarik's, she found Leon just in time to see him roundhouse kick a Tarik around the head. He was in morphed form and looking very confident. A silver beam of light shone through his visor.

"The scar" she muttered.

Across the hallway, Rye morphed his right hand into its demonic form. He began using it to slice through the Tarik's. "Three down" he counted mentally whilst parrying off attacks with his human arm.

Kyan dodged several swipes, he dropped back to the ground and slid his legs out, tripping four Tariks over, he then backsprung and held out two fireballs in his hands. "Barbecued inky blob anyone?" he smirked behind his helmet.

Leon watched Kyan set the Tariks alight and was actually impressed. "Wonder what my power is" he held his arm out and suddenly a long golden chain shot out, coiling several Tariks in a bundle of inky darkness. "COOL!" he yelled.

"I'll finish them off, Leon" Lucia smirked, flipping towards them, she weaved her arms out, allowing the water vapour from around her to manipulate into a whip, she brought it down on the Tariks several times, whipping them to shreds.

The golden chain retracted back to Leon's arm. "Water, fire, demon arms and golden chains, this is incredible" he laughed.

From the corner of the room came a weakened cry for help, Lucia and Leon noticed it and ran in the direction of the yelling to find a young asian woman, roughly in her late teens. "Are you hurt?" Lucia questioned, kneeling by the girl in red.

"Her leg" Leon pointed at the girls leg, it was ripped open and had a weird, red flame wavering out of it.

Lucia knelt by the girl. "Whats your name?"

"Sakur-a S..Saku" the woman spluttered out.

"Okay Sakura, I want you to focus on the cute guy behind me, talk to him"

Sakura nodded.

Leon removed his helmet, as he did, a Tarik attacked him.

"Behind you!" Sakura yelled.

A golden chain came up from behind Leon and skewered the demon, causing it to burst.

"Dont worry about me" Leon sat beside the girl, placing his helmet on the floor. His silver scar lit up the area.

Lucia placed a piece of silver cloth around the womans leg, once tightened, it vanished and the womans skin was good as new. "You're good to go" Lucia smiled.

Sakura could barely contain her excitement. "Thankyou so much!" she hugged the two of them.

Leon placed his helmet on and ran through the last remaining Tariks with Sakura in his arms. "This how you meet all the guys?" he laughed.

"First time i've played the damsel role" she replied

"You played it well" Leon smiled behind his helmet, finally breaking out of the warehouse.

The night was cold, but at least it was lighter outside thanks to the street lamps.

Back inside the building, Lucia, Kyan and Rye stood with their backs together. The final round of Tariks were in front of them.

"Team move, number 3?" Rye questioned.

Kyan nodded to them. "Lets go".

Rye leapt into the air, his body flailed upside down as he whipped his arm around, clearing the row of Tariks. He dropped back down and ducked, giving Lucia a hand to flip over him.

Lucia landed down and manipulated a wave of water to move the circle of demons into the wall of the building. They were now in a straight line.

"All yours Kyan" she dropped back and covered her head by Rye.

Kyan waved his arms in the air, an arrow of fire appeared above his head, it crackled magestically and furociously at the same time. "And, GO!" he threw the wave of fire at the Tariks and ducked as a shockwave of purple gas exploded, creating a hole in the wall where the Tariks once stood.

The three rangers stood up and looked in pride at the huge hole in the side of the building.

*****

The group arrived back at the base with Sakura now looking confident and strong, she had her long black hair down and was wearing biker leathers and a red bandana.

"We have a new trainee, Sakura Saku was found and has a strong soul fire" Lucia explained to Christina. She nodded and began guiding Sakura down towards Kenneth's office to seek approval.

Rye walked towards the reception to check his mail, leaving Kyan and Leon alone again.

"Starting to like me yet?" Leon asked.

"Not a chance, we were fine without you and you didn't exactly do much today" Kyan replied with a slight angry tone.

"Besides saving three lives" Leon began walking away when he felt a hand drop on his shoulder.

Kyan scrunched up his nose, looking sternly at Leon. "We're a three person team and one way or another, you are going to leave this facility."

Leon shook his head and headed for his dorm.

Glad you enjoyed the episode guys ^_^

Kyan is pronounced "Kee-Ann" :) although when its shortened to Ky, its pronounced "K-Eye", oddly xD

Im also glad you're not liking Kyan so far, his attitude at the minute it irritating, irrational and immature. Its also something that doesn't tend to last too long in PR episodes, but I wanted to drag it out a little longer, so yeh, when we get a bit of character development for Kyan, im sure you'll start liking him more :)

Good to see Leon is popular ^_^

[Episode 3: Lockdown]

Kenneth Maxwell Irons sat behind his oak desk. His arms were folded and his lips pursed, a fresh glass of whiskey was sat by his side.

"We're not having this discussion, Mr. Bluu, I make the orders. You Follow, its natural order"

Kyan's expression changed from its emotionless state into a rather fiery and challenging one. Not many had seen him like this.

"With all due respect sir, this is not a game. We're saving the planet here and I cannot see how, having me toy with Leon's emotions at such a dangerous time in our battle against the demons, will have any positive reprocutions." Kyan loosened up his clenched fist. He knew his place, but that didn't mean he had to like it.

"It's not toying, Mr. Bluu" Kenneth paused whilst he sipped his whiskey.

"I treat this team like I treat my alcohol, they need to be secluded in total darkness for a long time to mature before they can be allowed to be taken seriously as a finer drink amongst the rest of us" Kenneth dropped the empty glass down on the table.

Kyan took a deep breath and continued "Leon is a mature and powerful warrior. Within the two weeks he's been here, he's become an elite ranger and deserves my praise. I beg you to back down on your orders before we lose him"

The room went silent.

"You are to continue treating this brat like the dirt he is, until hes been purified by his time here...When he's ready to be treated with respect, he'll get it" Kenneth turned his back to Kyan.

"I'm not doing it any longer, sir" Kyan turned to the door and began exitting.

"Then kiss your leadership role, goodbye" Kenneth retorted whilst admiring his bottles of whiskey on the wall.

Kyan froze.

*****

A sweet aroma of females filled the hallways as two women walked down them, laughing and feeling very comfortable with each other by the looks of things.

Sakura smiled at her new Italian friend. "This place is incredible, it can be a bit edgy, but its all part of the thrill, we really are saving the world, huh?"

"I guess, we are...So how's the training coming along? Sensei Ikato is a tough one" Lucia glanced out of the window briefly as they walked.

"Ahh, its fun, sensei is a great guy really. Helped when I loosened him up with a bottle of vodka" Sakura laughed, holding her bare midrift below her red sports bra and above her leather biker trousers.

Lucia joined in with Sakura's laughter. "You got a martial arts master drunk? I can't wait until you join us" she paused "maybe we can give some of the alcohol to Kyan, he needs loosening up lately"

Suddenly the tone dropped as Kyan passed the two girls without a word.

"H-hey, Kyan" Sakura smiled nervously.

"...Hi" Kyan replied, entering his dorm further down the hallway.

The two girls continued to walk down the hallways, going seperate ways at the end.

"I'll see you later, Sakura, I need some air" Lucia waved.

Sakura nodded and headed the other way, towards the caffeteria no doubt.

As Sakura passed one of the rooms, she caught a glimpse of Christina slapping Leon across the face, no doubt from yet another one of his flirting attempts.

"Go girl" Sakura continued to walk, giggling.

*****

Lucia took a left down the corridors, she could smell the rain coming...There was a big storm coming for sure. She loved the rain.

"It's beautiful" she spoke outloud, looking across at a surge of black clouds, illuminated by the odd flash of thunder.

Sliding the window open in front of her, Lucia stuck her head out and took in the smell of the air. It felt fresh and invigorating.

A few moments passed and the rain began.

Lucia looked down at the ground as a figure caught her eye. A young woman in a white gown with long black hair was walking down past the side of the building.

"Hey! A huge storm is coming, you better get inside!" Lucia yelled, thinking the woman was probably one of the staff.

The young girl continued to walk, paying no attention to Lucia's plea for her to come inside the building.

Lucia took to the stairs, quickly running down them and tripping at one point as she almost bumped into one of the cleaners. She veered left and shoulder barged through a pair of double doors to lead her onto the street where the girl just was.

"Hello? Hellloooo?" she yelled, walking further forward and trying to see through the heavy downpour that was now forcing her slick black hair into her eyes.

A glimpse of the girl going down the alley nearby caught Lucia's attention. Without thinking, she ran after the figure. "Hey, come back here!" Lucia yelled, gargling rain that landed in her throat as she opened her mouth.

*****

Inside her stone palace, Reina perched comfortable on her chair, her demonic hand as always, was resting on her lap. A huge grin was on her face, making her look like a psychotic killer of sorts.

"The preparations are made ma'am" a muscular man with emerald hair stepped forward and bowed. His body, covered in black markings.

"Wonderful, Gilgamesh...Satan will be proud" she laughed manically.

The palace began to shake causing the two pawns of evil to grasp onto the nearest safe point. It pushed up and the roar of crushed stone trembled from above.

Finally, it breached the surface. Reina's face lit up with dark delight as she looked down from her palace on the crushed buildings below.

"The blue ranger is alone...Kill her!" Reina yelled at a Demo-Tarik.

It roared and leapt from the balcony

*****
As Lucia began walking down the alley, a rumbling shook her off balance causing her to drop backwards and gash her arm on the wall. "AHHHH" she yelped out in pain.

Once the tremours had stopped, she pulled herself to her feet and began running back to The Above. She knew that the base had a built in defence mechanism in case of future earthquakes.

Lucia stopped in her tracks, looking up at the building she was in, only 10 minutes ago. It was now covered in a titanium shell, a heavy defence system stood firm between her and safety.

"Guys, im stuck outside of the building!" Lucia yelled into her cell phone as it was answered by Rye.

"You're out there? Aw crap, Lucia, hang on...Apparently theres Tarik's around" Rye replied. The phone-line cut off as Lucia's battery died.

"Piece of junk" Lucia tossed her phone at a wall and grunted, kicking stones on the ground as she waited to be let in.

*****

Rye paced down the hallways, heading for Kenneth's office, he was caught up by Leon and Kyan, with Christina pacing a little slower behind due to her heels and shorter legs.

"Is Lucia really trapped outside?" Leon questioned, avoiding eye contact with Kyan.

"Yeh, but it shouldn't be a worry. We'll just shut down the main console and -"

The group froze. Looking at the melted console that would have de-activated the entire security skin for the base.

"This was you wasn't it!? You wanted a three person team and now you're gonna get one!" Leon grabbed Kyan by the collar and held him against the wall.

Kyan remained silent. He knew it wasn't him, but couldn't take his mind off Kenneth's threat. Was he trying to frame him and get him kicked out of the team?

"It wasn't Ky. Leon, put him down" Rye nudged Leon away and knelt beside the console.

"This was done by some sort of laser device, its melted too precisely to be Kyan's work" Rye looked up at Christina who agreed.

The group looked at Christina.

"Unfortunately, with this building being so old, there's no other way to shut it down. It will naturally shut down in four hours time, until then, we're stuck" Christina sighed in unison with the others.

Kyan walked away, pulling out his morpher. He insta-morphed and gathered a huge fireball in both hands. "Anyone up for a game of smash the metal?" he questioned.

Leon and Rye nodded and morphed alongside, joining Kyan who was hurling heavy fireballs at the doorway. Christina stood back, shielding her eyes.

*****

After waiting a good twenty minutes, Lucia decided that it was probably time to take a walk. She could see the building from anywhere in the city so she didn't need to worry.

"My home..." Lucia sighed. A tear came to her eye and her lip began to quiver.

In front of the blue ranger sat a half collapsed building, it was rather small and had a strobe lit sign saying "Blair" swinging from the front of it.

"Blair Cuts" she giggled at the cheap name that her friends had given the store before it had opened. She had opened it up to prove that she wasnt just a shadow of her parents and could make it on her own.

Lucia's thoughts of her family stopped as a Demo-Tarik dropped down behind her, she shook as its heavy feet collided with the ground below her.

It roared.

"Reina, you bitch" she scorned, quickly taking off at a running pace from the beast that was easily going to catch her.

Lucia did a quick agile somersault onto a garbage can and flicked it behind her. She heard it collide with the Demo-Tarik but knew it wouldn't have even slowed it down a little.

"Think, think!" she yelled to herself as the rain continued to pour down on the ground. Lucia slipped several times, turning into an alleyway, she quickly leapt over the fence and landed down under a small childs tent.

Lucia couldn't believe it. Without even realising, she had gone to her safe spot.

~Flashback~

"This meeting is boring, daddy, I want to go play! Tina gets to play" A younger Lucia pouted as she watched her sister run through the alleyway across from their home.

"She's in my secret place!" Lucia yelled as her mother continued to plait her hair.

"Darling, your father has an important business party...You have to be there, Tina isn't old enough to go to these parties yet." Amaela Blair smiled at her daughter, dressed up like a pretty doll.

Lucia kept quiet until her mother and father had gone to speak about the party, once they had gone, she leapt through the back doors and tripped in the mud, laughing as she headed for her safe place where Tina was playing.

"Tiny Tina!" Lucia peered through the fence and crawled into the tent where Tina lay, breathless and pale.

~End of flashback~

Breaking out in a cold sweat, Lucia screamed, she pushed through the hole in the fence and as she was beginning to crawl out, the Demo-Tarik dropped down in front of her.

"I'm not scared of you" she snarled as a lightning bolt struck a nearby power cable, startling the Demo-Tarik.

When the monster looked back, Lucia had gone. It turned around and began sniffing the air for her scent and when it finally got it, she was already beginning her attack...Just like in training.

Lucia struck down with a precise kick to where the creatures jaw would have been if it had a face. She then leapt across its body and whipped her arm out, turning the rain above her into small pellets that crashed down on the Demo-Tarik, causing it to roar and tumble backwards.

The blue ranger huffed, she hadn't took a single breath since morphing and was now shaking. It had took alot of energy for her to pull of such a strong attack and she knew it would take much more to beat this beast.

She was taken by surprise when one of the creatures tentacles grabbed her leg, flinging her into the side of the building. Lucia flew through a thin layer of bricks and crashed down in what used to be someones dining room.

"You..Bastard" she removed her cracked helmet and looked at the creature, spitting blood to the ground.

The Demo-Tarik roared and ran at Lucia, who managed to quickly put her helmet back on and dive away from it.

Landing arkwardly, Lucia stumbled out of the front door of the house, with Tina still in mind, she was majorly off on her fighting mojo.

The Demo-Tarik seemed more violent than the ones before it. It tossed a chunk of bricks in Lucia's path, causing her to quickly jolt forwards and backflip off of it.

"You're a persistant thing, aren't you?" Lucia was now trembling from the cold and fear. She darted for one final attack.

Lucia cartwheeled forwards, lowering her stance just in time to duck a tentacle from the Demo-Tarik, she then sprung upwards and delivered a strong uppercut. "This should do it" Lucia pulled a large puddle of water upwards, manipulating it into a wall, she forced her palms forward and gushed a heavy amount of water at the Demo-Tarik - But it stood still.

"Aw crap" Lucia took off, running as fast as she could carry herself.

Still running, with the roars of the beast behind her, Lucia knew she needed to keep focussed, but flashbacks of Tina kept invading her mind, confusing her.

Lucia tripped and fell flat on her face in front of three coloured warriors. She began crying as the one in purple helped her up.

"Are you alright?" Rye asked.

Lucia nodded.

Leon extended a pair of chains outwards, coiling the Demo-Tarik's feet, he yanked backwards forcefully, causing it to stumble and drop backwards. "Do it, Kyan!" he yelled.

Nodding, the crimson ranger leapt onto Leon's chains, he ran along the line and flipped upwards, only to be knocked by a tentacle into a nearby building.

"Kyan!!" Lucia screamed.

She pulled away from Rye and ignored her pain. "Team move number 6, Leon, you cover for him!"

The silver and purple rangers nodded.

Rye extended his arm outwards, grabbing the Demo-Tarik's tentacle and stopping it from crushing Kyan, he then yanked backwards, ripping the tentacle from the creature and holding it off long enough for Leon to get in close.

Leon swiped the legs from the creature and curled the chains to make a weighted mace-type weapon, which he used to slam into the creatures head and send it crashing into the building nearby.

Lucia finished the triple attack with a second wave of water, this time, the rain droplets were manipulated into small spines which stuck into the Demo-Tarik, causing it to explode.

Rye pulled Kyan up and the group stood in the silence, enjoying the relaxing sound of the rain on their helmets.

*****

The four rangers sat in one of the hallways, looking at the debry from the broken metal that they had carved through earlier on.

"Most of that was Kyan's handywork though, he melted through that door like there was no tomorrow" Rye admitted, looking over Leon who seemed to be still fixated on the fact that the console was melted.

Lucia smiled. "Well thankyou to all of you, I was nearly Tarik bait".

She looked across to one of the CCTV screens in the nearby maintenence room and could see a familiar figure...The girl with black hair in a white gown was being guided towards the medial wing by a nurse.

"You sure you're okay?" Kyan questioned. Speaking for the first time in a while.

Lucia nodded "yeh...just fine.." her eyes stayed fixated on the camera's and the mysterious girl that had put her through all of this.

I really like the name Power Rangers Soul Strikers. It would be a really good name for next years (Go-Onger) Power Rangers instead of the rumored R.P.M.
