Deep in space, a sinister craft moved at the speed of light. It resembled a huge metal sphere, and three massive rockets fired out of its back. Inside, there was a bustle of activity.

Most of the creatures inside it looked like dark purple humanoids with no distinguishing features. They were clad in black armor and made small squeaking noises. Two other figures stood out more.

One was dressed in black and grey armor, and had a skeletal theme. He wore a skull helmet with two bull’s horns coming out the side, and wore a red cape. His clawed hand held a deadly looking blade. He stood before a giant lizard-like creature, with a draconian head and spikes along his back. The latter one sat on a large black throne.

“So, Madorot, how close are we to Earth?” The larger one asked. Madorot bowed, then spoke.

“Great Master Voidrus, we shall arrive at the planet in a matter of Minutes. The human populace will stand no chance against the might of the mighty Antyrann Empire.”

“That’s what you say…” said a voice. Madorot turned and saw a creature that was covered in randomly placed yellow diamond shaped plates, wearing a large diamond wizard hat. “…But do you know?” Master Voidrus rolled his eyes.

“Kryster, why must you always be such a pessimist?” he asked. Kryster skipped into the shadows.

“I’m not a pessimist; I’m simply warning you two. The Korisans were weak, but they weren’t stupid.” He walked up and looked right in Madorot’s face. “Suppose they sent something to Earth before we got there? Suppose we might have to fight our way through an endless Korisan Army?” He began to wave his arms around dramatically. Madorot sighed, and then smacked him in the face with the back of his hand.

“You are the most ANNOYING person I have ever met. Besides, the Korisans were under fire. Anything they sent is either damaged or amazingly small. Nothing will cause us a lasting problem.”

“Not even Power Rangers?” Kryster jested.

“Not even Power Rangers.” Madorot replied.

“Troy, would you please stop that?” Diana moaned from behind her book. Her friend Troy was drumming on the table, just like he did everyday, just like he had been doing for the last hour. It was beginning to great on her nerves.

“What’s wrong with it? I’m giving you some good music.” He rebutted.

“Well, your ‘music’ is giving me a migraine. I’m going over there.” She grabbed her book and her drink and sat with her best friend Janine. She, Janine, Troy and two of her other friends where having lunch in the school cafeteria, which was actually outside during the summer.

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/1466/jankl3.png

Janine was doodling in her sketch book. “What’re you drawing?” Diana asked. Janine looked up.

“Hmm? Oh, it’s nothing special.” She held up a drawing of the exact scene Diana had just been in: Troy drumming while Diana attempted to focus on her book.

“Wow, that’s amazing!” she said.

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/7093/spencervi5.png

“What’s amazing now?” asked a voice. Diana looked up and saw Spencer, the school’s major nerd. He wore a big pair of glasses and a long sleeved shirt everyday, and no one knew what color his hair was because it was stuck under a beanie.

“My drawing skills.” Janine said. She held up the picture. “They are, as you would say, ‘leet’.”

Spencer chuckled. “Very funny. I don’t play games all the time, you know.”

http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/1926/krisce1.png

“No.” Said Kris, who walked over from the other side of the Cafeteria. “He spends the rest of his life studying.” Kris was a bit of a jerk sometimes, and loved to poke Spencer around.

“Yeah, I’ve been wondering about that.” Diana said. “All of your family’s been way into sports. How come you never really do anything in that area.”

Spencer sighed. “Well, I’m rife with medical problems. First off, I have asthma. Second, I have massive allergies. Third, I’m diabetic. Fourth, I’m near sighted. Fifth, one of my legs is longer than the other. And finally…” He took off his beanie for a brief moment “I’m prematurely grey.” He quickly returned it to his head. “There’s not much I can do.”

“That’s too bad.” Troy said.

“Why’d you stop your important drumming activities?” Diana teased.

http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/8954/tannerbl5.png

“Because I thought I’d warn you guys that the new guy is here.” Everyone looked up at the doorway and saw said ‘New Guy’. From what they knew, his name was Tanner Verader, he had transferred to their school from Canada, and he knew absolutely no one.

“He’s kinda cute.” Janine said. “But he never really talks to anyone.”

“It’s a little sad when you think about it.” Spencer said.

“You’re one to talk.” Kris laughed. Then the bell rang. Tanner quickly ran off, and the others packed up their stuff.

“What do you have next, Janine?” Troy asked.

“Environment studies. We’re meeting out here, so I don’t have to move.”

“Alright. Have a good one!” He said as he left. When Janine was left all alone in the cafeteria, she flipped back to what she was really drawing when Diana asked her. It was a picture of a griffin with the sun shining in the background. It was just like any of her drawings, but their was something that she…felt about it. Like it was a sign.

- - - - -

Tanner wasn’t naturally shy. He just got weirded out whenever he was in a new environment (example: the school). He slowly walked towards his class, turned the corner – and got bowled over by Diana.

“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I wasn’t paying attention” She rambled on as she tried to pick up the stuff she had dropped. Tanner bent over to help her, as well as grab his own things. Diana looked at one of the forms he had as she picked it up.

“’Tanner Verader…oh, your that new kid from Canada?”Diana asked. Tanner grabbed the page from her.

“Yeah. And before you start, I don’t live in an igloo and my family has never seen a Polar Bear.”

Diana rolled her eyes. “Oh, not all americans are like that. Except Kris, maybe. So, what class do you have now? Maybe I can help.”

“I have no idea.” Tanner looked at the times table he received that morning. “I need to go to Math in room 666, but it doesn’t sound too inviting.” Diana looked at the sheet.

“Oh, that’s a problem with the photocopier. It’s suppose to say 66b. You just go down that hall and up the stairs, and it’ll be right in front of you.”

Tanner smiled. “Thanks.” And he walked off quickly. Diana sighed.

“If only you were more of a people person.”

- - - - -

“Madorot, where shall we send the first battalion?” Kryster asked. They had landed on Earth’s moon, and had a three dimensional map of the planet laid out.

“Here.” The warrior pointed at a small dot. It zoomed in and a revealed a building with adolescent humans. “It appears to be a human educational complex. They will have weak defenses their.”

“Very well. Let’s go meet the welcoming party!” Kryster skipped off to the teleporter, Madorot close behind.

- - - - -

The final bell rang, and the school seemed to explode. Everyone rushed out, most extremely quickly, some not as fast. Troy, Kris, Diana and Janine walked in a small group.

“Oh, I’m so hungry I could eat my homework.” Kris said. He then looked down at the papers he held in his hand suspiciously.

“Don’t do it man.” Troy warned. “I tried that in fourth grade, it tastes like crap.”

Diana was eyeing the crowd for Tanner, and spotted him by himself. She waved him over.

“Hey Tanner!” she said when he got all they way there. “How was you day?”

“It was okay. Are these guys your friends?”

“Yeah. This is Troy, Kris, Janine, and…where’s Spencer?” Kris rolled his eyes at this.

“He has chess club, which means that we are one person short of our Burger group.”

Tanner nodded slowly. “It’s nice to meet you guys. Hey, mind if I join you guys? I haven’t eaten at all today.” The four teens looked at each other, then Janine said “Sure, why not? We have enough money.”

“Great! Thanks, too.”

They had barely walked five stpes when an explosion went right off beside them. They were blasted back at least several feet.

“What the hell was that?” Kris asked spastically. He looked into the flames and saw too figures: Madorot and Kryster.

“Hello Humans!” Kryster called. He pulled out a strange-looking microphone. “I hope you’ve had some wonderful lives, because now they’re all about to end! Welcome to the reign of the Antyrann Empire!”

Madorot rolled his eyes. “Just send out the Kolers so we can get on with it.”

“Alright, you spoil-sport.” Kryster pulled out a crystal and threw it on the ground in front of him. The ground opened up into a small black hole, and a large group of figures jumped out. They were dark purple and had no facial markings (actually, they didn’t have faces) and wore light armor plating. Each one carried a plain black pole.

“Attack the humans!” Madorot roared. The Kolers obeyed and ran at…well, everything that moved.

“Holy crap, this isn’t good.” Troy said. He looked as the Kolers began to swarm over the small group of students still near the school.

“Well, we can’t just stand here!” Tanner said. “We need to help fight them off!”

“What, you think you can beat them?” Kris said.

“I can try.” Tanner replied. He then ran at the nearest group of Kolers and began to fight. They weren’t actually that tough. He managed to fight of several, then hit on of them square in the head. It dissolved into black smoke.

“That’s easy!’ Janine said. She also joined the fray. Troy, not to be outdone by a girl, decide he might as well fight. Diana wasn’t going to be left out of all the fun, and Kris just really wanted to kick some ass. Soon, the Kolers were getting a run for their money.

“It’s not working!” Madorot complained. “Send out some more!”

“Fine, fine, don’t be too hasty!” Kryster said. E pulled out two more crystals and called up another wave of the footmen.

- - - - -

Meanwhile, on an island that no one had ever seen or heard of, a crashed spaceship suddenly began to turn on and restart all systems.

- - - - -

Tanner, try as he might, could not hold off this many aliens. He was getting overwhelmed when he felt something inside of him. He beat off the Kolers directly in front of him, then held is palms out in front of him, and a blast of heat destroyed the entire group he was facing.

He looked down at his hands. “How the hell did I do that?” He then looked around at the others.

Troy had been backed into a corner, and could only do so much against that big amount of enemies. But then, he felt a force within him, and opened his mouth.

“HAAAAAAAAAH!” He screamed, and a giant shockwave let loose from his mouth, blasting away every foe he had been facing. He then covered his mouth in surprise.

“Well, that was helpful.” He said in his shock.

Kris had seen Tanner’s heat wave and heard Troy’s scream. He had a glimmering hope that he had something like that in him, since he wasn’t actually fairing off very well. The Kolers surrounded him, but just as they were doing a group attack, Kris slammed his foot onto the ground and the whole group went flying, then slammed into the ground with such force that the evaporated immediately.

“Nice.” Kris said with a big smile.

Janine was almost panicking, since the Kolers were actually hitting her, and damn that hurt. She covered her head with her hands and knelt down to protect herself, but then she felt a similar feeling to the one she had when she was drawing. She stood up and flung her arms to the side, and a burst of light shot out from all around her. The Kolers took it like a punch to the head, dissolving and flying away at the same time.

“I guess that brightened my day a bit.” She said as she looked around.

Diana had been having a good day. But this was ridiculous. If these guys wanted to destroy the world, then they could go to hell, cause she did not like it when people – no matter what planet they came from – ruined her good day. She jabbed her finger into the head of the closest Koler, and an electrical shock ran out of her hand, then blasted its way through the entire armada.

“Hah, that’ll show you.” She said as she pretended to blow smoke off her finger.

“Rrrr…you imbecile!” Madorot screamed at Kryster. “You are so incompetent! What was that!”

Kryster held up his hands in a look of innocence. “I didn’t know that -”

“Silence! I’d kill you if I was allowed. But instead…” he tuned and faced the group of teenagers. “I’ll need to satisfy myself with these human imbeciles. You!” he pointed his sword at them. “You may have gotten lucky, but there are few things you can do to defeat me.” Suddenly, whirring noise was heard.

Madorot looked up, and, for the first time in 12,000 years, felt true fear.

A sleek silver vehicle resembling a helicopter, but more streamlined and with a pair of cannons on each side hovered over the school. It let loose a barrage of fire from it’s cannons.

“Kryster! Let’s get out of here!” Madorot said as he ran away, avoiding laser fire. Kryster wholeheartedly agreed, and dropped a krystal when his companion was close by. They vanished in the explosion.

The ‘helicopter’ landed in front of Tanner and company, and a hatch opened in the side of it. Standing inside was an old man with pure white hair and a silver robe, with a ring of silver around his right eye. He smiled when he saw the kids.

“Hello Rangers.” He said. “Would you like to go back to base?”

Now, when a crazy old man appears out of no where in a weird helicopter and asks you to come to the base, it’s rather creepy. However, since he did just save their lives, he did deserve some respect.

“Rangers? What do you mean?” Janine asked. I old man frowned.

“Hmm. I guess you wouldn’t know about what you are meant for. Please, this is only a minor setback for them. We must return to the base immediately. I can explain on the way.” The teens weren’t sure what to say to this, but it sounded pretty important, so they boarded. It took off instantly.

The inside was pure white, with a small assortment of seats around the inside. There was a cockpit at the front with two people dressed similar to the old man. The old man motioned for them to sit, then pulled out a small projector and called up a hologram.

“My name is Dahren Radus, and I am the leader of the Korisans. We are an alien race that has waited in suspended animation for 12,000 years for the Antyranns to attack.” The hologram began to play a scene with many spaceships and more explosions.

“12,000 years ago, we were attacked by the Antyranns, a ruthless race of aliens who want only to destroy everything in the universe, because they believe that they will be able to reconstruct it as they desire once everything is gone.

“Our planet was destroyed, but we managed to send the wisest and most efficient of our race to this planet and insert our crystallized DNA into the planet so that the next sentient creatures would, in time, develop energy-controlling powers similar to our own.”

“Energy controlling?” Troy asked. “So is that what happened when we fought the Kolers? We activated your guys’ DNA?”

“Yes. That is how we were able to come out of Suspended animation and find you so quickly. However, we were unable to bring as much of our technology as we desired, and we only have a few devices at this time. Therefore, you five must defend your world against the Antyrann empire.”

“What?!” Tanner exclaimed. “You want us to defend against an entire alien race? One that destroyed your planet? How in the hell do we even get close to that?” He held up his hand. “That fire show earlier? That just happened spontaneously. I don’t even know how this works.”

Diana stood up. “Wait. When you saw us you called us rangers. Did you mean…?”

Dahren nodded. “You are quite insightful, Diana. You are to become the Power Rangers Full Charge.”

Power Rangers. That’s what he had said, but at first they could hardly believe it. Kris reacted first.

“Seriously?! Alright!” he did a little victory dance. “I’ve wanted to be a power ranger ever since I was a kid! I even got saved by one of them back when I lived in Mariner Bay!” He looked around. Troy was a bit excited, Tanner was still hesitant, Diana was thinking about it, and Janine was staring off into space, as if she was remembering something else. “Come one guys! It’ll be fun! We’ll get to morph, and have these awesome weapons, and get the big ass Megazord…what’s not to like?”

“Well…” Janine said, coming out of her flashback, “It sounds cool, but I’ve seen the rangers on TV. Their jobs don’t exactly look safe. I don’t think I have the power to keep up.” Dahren was shaking his head.

“Well, you’ve heard of the rangers, but you evidently understand the true abilities they come with. Most of the previous teams had little experience in fighting in martial arts or with weapons, and they aren’t all powerful or fast by default. The Ranger Powers are meant to enhance your true self, and give you an advantage over creatures that normal humans wouldn’t be able to defeat. The sound of the chopper flying were beginning to fade. “Come now. We have arrived at the base.”

They debarked the craft and entered a large complex. Inside it was filled with a ton of people dressed the same as Dahren. They were all either working on computers or machinery. A young boy, about the same age as the teens, came running up to Dahren with a box clutched in his hand. “Dahren! They’re ready!”

“Ah, hello Erik. Were are the other technicians?”

“I’m afraid their was a problem with their freezing chambers. They won’t be defrosted for quite a while now.” He sighed. “So I’m afraid that I’m the only technician here. Oh!” He handed Dahren the box. “I did manage to get the Morphers out of the safe.”
“Excellent. Rangers,” he turned to the team. “This is Erik Kollo, our…head technician at the moment. And these are your Charge morphers.” He opened the box and the group saw five wristbands. On each band was a disk with what looked like a small handle attached to the side. They were red, blue, green, yellow and pink. Dahren continued. “IN order to use them, simply pull the cord and say ‘Ranger Power, Full Charge’. You will then morph.” He handed the morphers out to the rangers.

“We will need to be ever vigilant, as the Antyranns can and will strike at any time. For now however, I think that you can go home and wait. I will contact you through you’re morphers if there is any trouble.”

- - - - -

“You are the one who made us fail the mission!” Madorot screamed. He slashed at Kryster multiple times.

“Hey, you said that it would be easy! It’s you’re fault!” He hurled a pair of crystals that barely missed Madorot, instead destroying a pair of nearby Kolers. Voidrus was becoming irritated.

“Enough, both of you!” He said. He didn’t need to raise his voice, anything he said was to be obeyed. The two both ceased fighting and knelt before their leader.

“My apologies, Master.” Madorot said as he stood up. “But we did not expect that kind of resistance from humans.”

“It is obvious that the Korisans were able to insert they’re DNA into the populace and have found the descendants. BY now I am sure that they have been outfitted with Ranger Powers of some kind. There is no time to waste. Kryster!” He turned his head to the minion. “How many of you’re Mechroids have adjusted to the environment?”

“Not many, master.” Kryster said gloomily. “But I do have one who has managed to reach peak condition in our time here. Shall I summon him?”

“OF course.”

“Very well.” Krystal pulled out a large crystal from a compartment in his arm armor. It was round instead of long and sharp, and it glowed faintly. Kryster threw it to the ground, and it expanded into a humanoid figure.

IT was blue in color and had nothing separating head from body. He had a sharp toothed mouth and a large cannon nose, as well as two cannons on each shoulder and one on each wrist. His eyes were wild with excitement.

“Mortaraze!” it cried. “What do you want blown up?” it asked no one in particular.

“The power rangers.” Voidrus said. “They will be at this location.” He pulled out a holographic map showing a moving dot over a sparsely urbanized area of land. “Bring me their heads.”

“I’ll try, but they mighty not be in one piece. Still, they won’t trouble you anymore!” He leaped at Kryster, in the process turning back into a crystal and attaching to Kryster’s arm. Kryster laughed.

“Ha, this will be fun to watch! Want to join me?” he asked Madorot.

“Do I have a choice?” He replied, and they vanished in a burst of flame.

The chopper dropped the rangers off in a clearing not too far from the school but far enough away to avoid being seen. The rangers departed and the chopper vanished immediately.

“Dude, this is gonna be great!” Kris said as he eyed his Charge Morpher.

“Kris, don’t you think that this might be, I don’t know, dangerous?” Diana asked. “What will happen if one of us get’s killed? We’re just kids!”

“We’re Power Rangers, though.” Troy pointed out. “We are pretty much the strongest things on the planet. Besides, I’m sure we’ll have a giant arsenal of weapons and robots soon enough.” He looked around. “ON another topic…does anyone know which direction the school is in?”

No one did. They were very lost. Tanner looked around and saw something move behind a tree not too far away. He went to check it out, but couldn’t find anything.

“We can’t be too far.” He said as he walked back to the group. “I saw someone moving over there.” He then heard a whistling sound. Looking in its direction, he saw something rocket towards them. “HIT THE DECK!” he cried, and tackled Diana to the ground as the rest ducked, and a missile shot above them and destroyed a group of trees.

Getting back up, the rangers saw Madorot, Kryster, Mortaraze, and a whole swarm of Kolers marching towards them.

“Hello again! You got some Ranger Powers, so we got us some fire power! And lot’s of it!” Kryster said. Mortaraze waved his hands around.

“This will be too easy! Fire!” he cried, and shot a volley of smaller missiles at the rangers. They instinctively scattered.

“This guy doesn’t look so easy!” Janine said. “Think we should try out these Morphers?”

“Definitely.” Tanner said. They reformed in a group, and Held up their morphers.

“Ready?” Tanner asked. “Wait, what am I doing? You’re ready, and just because all the previous rangers said it doesn’t mean-”

“We’re READY!” Kris shouted. He was a bit excited.

“Right then.” He said. “Ranger Power! Full Charge!”

“Ranger Power! Full Charge!” The others repeated. They grabbed the handles and pulled out a ripcord, and the disks spun and released the energy they had stored for thousands of years.

Their were flashes of red, blue, green, yellow and pink light, and the Kolers, which had planned to attack, where blasted back. Madorot and Kryster had to cover their eyes.

When they looked again, the teenagers that they had seen before, and in their place were Power Rangers.

“Shocking Spark of Compassion! Electric Pink Charge Ranger!”

“Shining Light of Brilliance! Solar Yellow Charge Ranger!”

“Infinite Force of Strength! Gravitational Green Charge Ranger!”

“Resounding Cry of Justice! Sonic Blue Charge Ranger!”

“Blazing Inferno of Courage! Thermal Red Charge Ranger!”

OH my, these guys look angry!” Mortaraze said fearfully. Madorot smacked the back of his head…or at least, where it can be assumed the back of his head was. “That’s because of their visors. Now shut up and stop cowering.”

“Uh…right! Fire!” Mortaraze shot another cluster of missiles, but the rangers dodged with ease.

“Okay guys, let’s see how Powerful Rangers really are!” Tanner said. He know knew why Kris had been so excited.

Kryster decided to give Mortaraze some backup. He threw down a pair of crystals, and two platoons of Kolers sprang up. "Get them!" He screamed.

Diana met one group of Kolers head on. SHe immediatly began to block all of their advances at her. Once she had enough room, she began to punch them in their weak spots. She grabbed the arm of one and flung him into another, causing a slight domino effect, then did a flip and knocked a pair of enemies behind her flying.

Kris used the generic 'beat the enmy until it stops breathing' approach. Everything he it shattered. He tripped the enmy in front of him, then did a swift backhand to a Koler coming from the side. He made a fist and slammed a third enemy, and at the same time used his gravity powers, causing the entire swarm to crumble.

Janine attacked the enemies from affar, using flashes of light from her hands to blind them and cause a traffic jam. When their were at least twenty lying on the ground, she took a running start at the first one to get up and jump kicked him into oblivion.

Troy effortlessly dodged each punch, and when he could he jabbed at the Koler's heads. One of them tried to jump on his back, so he spun around and grabbed it leg, then used it as a weapon to cut through the rest of the troops.

Tanner was going head on against Mortaraze, and was having a bit of difficulty. The monster used the missiles he had on his hands on his clubs, and the two were egnaged in a difficult punching match. Mortaraze suddenyl got in a hit and sne t Tanner flying backwards. Tanner, though sore, easily regained his footing.

"You're tough, ranger, but you can't do this!" He fired on of his missles at Tanner, who jumped into the air and caused it it miss. He landed and snapped his finger, causing a little ball of flame to appear.

"On the contrary, I think I can." he said, then flung the ball at Mortaraze. It hit one of his missile bays and caused it to explode. Mortaraze cired out in pain, and when the smoke cleared there was nothing but a few chunks of shrapnel were his shoulder used to be.

"Ow, you bastard! You cut down my fire power! I'm gonna get you back for that." He readied his remaining missiles, but was interupted by Troy jumping from behind and kicking him in the head. Or back. Whatever it was.

"Sorry, but we're not gonna be blasting off at all today!" He said. The other three rangers gathered up behind them.

"Do we have any weapons on these things?" ASked Diana. A voice spoke through the radios in their helmets.

"We'll send you your Charge Blasters. They should be able to finish off the Mechroid. Touch the symbols on your helmets in order to summon them."

Tanner nodded. "Right!" He held a finger to the gold symbol on his forehead. The other rangers did the same. Five beams of light fell from the sky and landed in the ranger's hands, materializing into blasters that resembled pistols withy sparkplugs on the ends instead of barrels.

The rangers pointed the blasters at Mortaraze. "ready?" Tanner asked. The others nodded. "Fire!"

Five beams of energy shot out of the Blasters and ripped right through Mortaraze. He cried in agony as he turned black and crumbled into dust.

Kryster was visibly agonized. "Damnit! Why must they be so...so...good?" He stamped his foot on the ground and teleported away with Madorot.
