Deep in space, a sinister craft moved at the speed of light. It resembled a huge metal sphere, and three massive rockets fired out of its back. Inside, there was a bustle of activity.
Most of the creatures inside it looked like dark purple humanoids with no distinguishing features. They were clad in black armor and made small squeaking noises. Two other figures stood out more.
One was dressed in black and grey armor, and had a skeletal theme. He wore a skull helmet with two bull’s horns coming out the side, and wore a red cape. His clawed hand held a deadly looking blade. He stood before a giant lizard-like creature, with a draconian head and spikes along his back. The latter one sat on a large black throne.
“So, Madorot, how close are we to Earth?” The larger one asked. Madorot bowed, then spoke.
“Great Master Voidrus, we shall arrive at the planet in a matter of Minutes. The human populace will stand no chance against the might of the mighty Antyrann Empire.”
“That’s what you say…” said a voice. Madorot turned and saw a creature that was covered in randomly placed yellow diamond shaped plates, wearing a large diamond wizard hat. “…But do you know?” Master Voidrus rolled his eyes.
“Kryster, why must you always be such a pessimist?” he asked. Kryster skipped into the shadows.
“I’m not a pessimist; I’m simply warning you two. The Korisans were weak, but they weren’t stupid.” He walked up and looked right in Madorot’s face. “Suppose they sent something to Earth before we got there? Suppose we might have to fight our way through an endless Korisan Army?” He began to wave his arms around dramatically. Madorot sighed, and then smacked him in the face with the back of his hand.
“You are the most ANNOYING person I have ever met. Besides, the Korisans were under fire. Anything they sent is either damaged or amazingly small. Nothing will cause us a lasting problem.”
“Not even Power Rangers?” Kryster jested.
“Not even Power Rangers.” Madorot replied.

“Troy, would you please stop that?” Diana moaned from behind her book. Her friend Troy was drumming on the table, just like he did everyday, just like he had been doing for the last hour. It was beginning to great on her nerves.
“What’s wrong with it? I’m giving you some good music.” He rebutted.
“Well, your ‘music’ is giving me a migraine. I’m going over there.” She grabbed her book and her drink and sat with her best friend Janine. She, Janine, Troy and two of her other friends where having lunch in the school cafeteria, which was actually outside during the summer.
http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/1466/jankl3.png
Janine was doodling in her sketch book. “What’re you drawing?” Diana asked. Janine looked up.
“Hmm? Oh, it’s nothing special.” She held up a drawing of the exact scene Diana had just been in: Troy drumming while Diana attempted to focus on her book.
“Wow, that’s amazing!” she said.
http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/7093/spencervi5.png
“What’s amazing now?” asked a voice. Diana looked up and saw Spencer, the school’s major nerd. He wore a big pair of glasses and a long sleeved shirt everyday, and no one knew what color his hair was because it was stuck under a beanie.
“My drawing skills.” Janine said. She held up the picture. “They are, as you would say, ‘leet’.”
Spencer chuckled. “Very funny. I don’t play games all the time, you know.”
http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/1926/krisce1.png
“No.” Said Kris, who walked over from the other side of the Cafeteria. “He spends the rest of his life studying.” Kris was a bit of a jerk sometimes, and loved to poke Spencer around.
“Yeah, I’ve been wondering about that.” Diana said. “All of your family’s been way into sports. How come you never really do anything in that area.”
Spencer sighed. “Well, I’m rife with medical problems. First off, I have asthma. Second, I have massive allergies. Third, I’m diabetic. Fourth, I’m near sighted. Fifth, one of my legs is longer than the other. And finally…” He took off his beanie for a brief moment “I’m prematurely grey.” He quickly returned it to his head. “There’s not much I can do.”
“That’s too bad.” Troy said.
“Why’d you stop your important drumming activities?” Diana teased.
http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/8954/tannerbl5.png
“Because I thought I’d warn you guys that the new guy is here.” Everyone looked up at the doorway and saw said ‘New Guy’. From what they knew, his name was Tanner Verader, he had transferred to their school from Canada, and he knew absolutely no one.
“He’s kinda cute.” Janine said. “But he never really talks to anyone.”
“It’s a little sad when you think about it.” Spencer said.
“You’re one to talk.” Kris laughed. Then the bell rang. Tanner quickly ran off, and the others packed up their stuff.
“What do you have next, Janine?” Troy asked.
“Environment studies. We’re meeting out here, so I don’t have to move.”
“Alright. Have a good one!” He said as he left. When Janine was left all alone in the cafeteria, she flipped back to what she was really drawing when Diana asked her. It was a picture of a griffin with the sun shining in the background. It was just like any of her drawings, but their was something that she…felt about it. Like it was a sign.
- - - - -
Tanner wasn’t naturally shy. He just got weirded out whenever he was in a new environment (example: the school). He slowly walked towards his class, turned the corner – and got bowled over by Diana.
“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I wasn’t paying attention” She rambled on as she tried to pick up the stuff she had dropped. Tanner bent over to help her, as well as grab his own things. Diana looked at one of the forms he had as she picked it up.
“’Tanner Verader…oh, your that new kid from Canada?”Diana asked. Tanner grabbed the page from her.
“Yeah. And before you start, I don’t live in an igloo and my family has never seen a Polar Bear.”
Diana rolled her eyes. “Oh, not all americans are like that. Except Kris, maybe. So, what class do you have now? Maybe I can help.”
“I have no idea.” Tanner looked at the times table he received that morning. “I need to go to Math in room 666, but it doesn’t sound too inviting.” Diana looked at the sheet.
“Oh, that’s a problem with the photocopier. It’s suppose to say 66b. You just go down that hall and up the stairs, and it’ll be right in front of you.”
Tanner smiled. “Thanks.” And he walked off quickly. Diana sighed.
“If only you were more of a people person.”

“Madorot, where shall we send the first battalion?” Kryster asked. They had landed on Earth’s moon, and had a three dimensional map of the planet laid out.
“Here.” The warrior pointed at a small dot. It zoomed in and a revealed a building with adolescent humans. “It appears to be a human educational complex. They will have weak defenses their.”
“Very well. Let’s go meet the welcoming party!” Kryster skipped off to the teleporter, Madorot close behind.
- - - - -
The final bell rang, and the school seemed to explode. Everyone rushed out, most extremely quickly, some not as fast. Troy, Kris, Diana and Janine walked in a small group.
“Oh, I’m so hungry I could eat my homework.” Kris said. He then looked down at the papers he held in his hand suspiciously.
“Don’t do it man.” Troy warned. “I tried that in fourth grade, it tastes like crap.”
Diana was eyeing the crowd for Tanner, and spotted him by himself. She waved him over.
“Hey Tanner!” she said when he got all they way there. “How was you day?”
“It was okay. Are these guys your friends?”
“Yeah. This is Troy, Kris, Janine, and…where’s Spencer?” Kris rolled his eyes at this.
“He has chess club, which means that we are one person short of our Burger group.”
Tanner nodded slowly. “It’s nice to meet you guys. Hey, mind if I join you guys? I haven’t eaten at all today.” The four teens looked at each other, then Janine said “Sure, why not? We have enough money.”
“Great! Thanks, too.”
They had barely walked five stpes when an explosion went right off beside them. They were blasted back at least several feet.
“What the hell was that?” Kris asked spastically. He looked into the flames and saw too figures: Madorot and Kryster.
“Hello Humans!” Kryster called. He pulled out a strange-looking microphone. “I hope you’ve had some wonderful lives, because now they’re all about to end! Welcome to the reign of the Antyrann Empire!”
Madorot rolled his eyes. “Just send out the Kolers so we can get on with it.”
“Alright, you spoil-sport.” Kryster pulled out a crystal and threw it on the ground in front of him. The ground opened up into a small black hole, and a large group of figures jumped out. They were dark purple and had no facial markings (actually, they didn’t have faces) and wore light armor plating. Each one carried a plain black pole.
“Attack the humans!” Madorot roared. The Kolers obeyed and ran at…well, everything that moved.
“Holy crap, this isn’t good.” Troy said. He looked as the Kolers began to swarm over the small group of students still near the school.
“Well, we can’t just stand here!” Tanner said. “We need to help fight them off!”
“What, you think you can beat them?” Kris said.
“I can try.” Tanner replied. He then ran at the nearest group of Kolers and began to fight. They weren’t actually that tough. He managed to fight of several, then hit on of them square in the head. It dissolved into black smoke.
“That’s easy!’ Janine said. She also joined the fray. Troy, not to be outdone by a girl, decide he might as well fight. Diana wasn’t going to be left out of all the fun, and Kris just really wanted to kick some ass. Soon, the Kolers were getting a run for their money.
“It’s not working!” Madorot complained. “Send out some more!”
“Fine, fine, don’t be too hasty!” Kryster said. E pulled out two more crystals and called up another wave of the footmen.
- - - - -
Meanwhile, on an island that no one had ever seen or heard of, a crashed spaceship suddenly began to turn on and restart all systems.
- - - - -
Tanner, try as he might, could not hold off this many aliens. He was getting overwhelmed when he felt something inside of him. He beat off the Kolers directly in front of him, then held is palms out in front of him, and a blast of heat destroyed the entire group he was facing.
He looked down at his hands. “How the hell did I do that?” He then looked around at the others.
Troy had been backed into a corner, and could only do so much against that big amount of enemies. But then, he felt a force within him, and opened his mouth.
“HAAAAAAAAAH!” He screamed, and a giant shockwave let loose from his mouth, blasting away every foe he had been facing. He then covered his mouth in surprise.
“Well, that was helpful.” He said in his shock.
Kris had seen Tanner’s heat wave and heard Troy’s scream. He had a glimmering hope that he had something like that in him, since he wasn’t actually fairing off very well. The Kolers surrounded him, but just as they were doing a group attack, Kris slammed his foot onto the ground and the whole group went flying, then slammed into the ground with such force that the evaporated immediately.
“Nice.” Kris said with a big smile.
Janine was almost panicking, since the Kolers were actually hitting her, and damn that hurt. She covered her head with her hands and knelt down to protect herself, but then she felt a similar feeling to the one she had when she was drawing. She stood up and flung her arms to the side, and a burst of light shot out from all around her. The Kolers took it like a punch to the head, dissolving and flying away at the same time.
“I guess that brightened my day a bit.” She said as she looked around.
Diana had been having a good day. But this was ridiculous. If these guys wanted to destroy the world, then they could go to hell, cause she did not like it when people – no matter what planet they came from – ruined her good day. She jabbed her finger into the head of the closest Koler, and an electrical shock ran out of her hand, then blasted its way through the entire armada.
“Hah, that’ll show you.” She said as she pretended to blow smoke off her finger.
“Rrrr…you imbecile!” Madorot screamed at Kryster. “You are so incompetent! What was that!”
Kryster held up his hands in a look of innocence. “I didn’t know that -”
“Silence! I’d kill you if I was allowed. But instead…” he tuned and faced the group of teenagers. “I’ll need to satisfy myself with these human imbeciles. You!” he pointed his sword at them. “You may have gotten lucky, but there are few things you can do to defeat me.” Suddenly, whirring noise was heard.
Madorot looked up, and, for the first time in 12,000 years, felt true fear.
A sleek silver vehicle resembling a helicopter, but more streamlined and with a pair of cannons on each side hovered over the school. It let loose a barrage of fire from it’s cannons.
“Kryster! Let’s get out of here!” Madorot said as he ran away, avoiding laser fire. Kryster wholeheartedly agreed, and dropped a krystal when his companion was close by. They vanished in the explosion.
The ‘helicopter’ landed in front of Tanner and company, and a hatch opened in the side of it. Standing inside was an old man with pure white hair and a silver robe, with a ring of silver around his right eye. He smiled when he saw the kids.
“Hello Rangers.” He said. “Would you like to go back to base?”
Most of the creatures inside it looked like dark purple humanoids with no distinguishing features. They were clad in black armor and made small squeaking noises. Two other figures stood out more.
