Wow, two threads in a day for me... better cool it down a bit.
Anyway, I'm sorry if anyone had their hearts set on these auctions for the whole hour they've been up, but I thought it would be far more interesting to bring it to everyone's attention and see what people think.
Currently, there's a
Power Morpher:

Power Morpher w/ coins:

Just the coins:

and a Power Morpher NIB:

Granted, they're not completely controlled for as one is NIB condition, and comes with a Gun (the former matters, the latter not so much) but as they're ending around the same time, I thought it would be interesting to ascertain current market value for both the coins and the morpher. There are obvious confounds that will get in the way, but you take what you can get sometimes. This should prove valuable if anyone ever decides to sell their morpher as it'll give some idea in which is the best way to go about doing it without customizing it (because that's HANDS DOWN the best way to go as Kyrcek can attest to).
Personally, I think that the morpher sold without the coins, and the coins will sum to a larger price (about 150-160) than either the morpher with the coins (100), or the NIB (120). However, the prices may be lower as there's three ending at once, but the ratios will remain the same. Any other predictions?
edit: I love this seller. They've also listed the Blade Blaster which will help provide some control to see if the whole is worth less than the sum of its parts: http://cgi.ebay.com/Collectible-Power-Ranger-Power-Gun-Sword-by-Bandai_W0QQitemZ220218292742QQihZ012QQcategoryZ749QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem

Whoever this "R***A" person is, they have gotten on my nerves by buying up every morpher and Role Play accessory I keep finding on e-bay. And speaking of Kyrcek, let some of the rest of us get some of the classics, man. You have what, twenty to thirty of them? You only really need five or six at most for all the versions; Season 1, Gold Buckler, Black bolts variant for those two, a busted one for AaC, and a OaR version. You don't need one for every coin each version! @_@
Sorry, just been frustrated with how many times I keep hearing some people brag about all the MMPR morphers they buy up to have one for each coin and variant.

Well, you'd only need 5 then: There was no difference in OaR's morpher.

what about dragon, tiger, ninja and alien coins?

^ I think he's saying that people only need the different forms of the morphers, not one for every coin.

For a while I was thinking that these users with a letter on either side of three asterisks were just driving up the price of PR merchandise, since they seem to bid on every item I look at. There's a number of them I've seen. I would be interested to see if any kind of fraud were involved with them...

No, that's just eBay's new buyer's privacy policy. Now, until the auction is over, everyone is identified as a character, ***, character (or something like that). They do this to keep other buyers from looking into their competition. Not going to front, if I wanted something a lot, I used to look into how the competition bidded in the past (were they big spenders, prone to sniping, pretty much broke) which was very helpful. I hate the new policy, though I can see why they do it.

Well in all fairness to krycek [who's beat me to many a morphers first] he sells the ones he buys as green ranger conversions

Not all of them. I have sold like maybe 6 in the past year.
They are usually the really messed up ones that I restore. I usually end up keeping them.
The rest are either for me or my younger brother. We each have our own collections.
I really don't understand why people get mad over morphers. Up until June of last year I only had one. It takes time and one must be patient.

I gotta know... how many do you have between the two of you?

No one's stopping you from getting anything. You either have the money, or you don't. And you can't tell anyone what they need, it's a personal choice.

Well, 9 I currently have on display and he had about 7. I have three still in box, since My brother just opens them and displays them.
Seriously, why are people pissed about this?

So, 19, or 16?
Not bad, I pegged you having 22.

Thank you! Its all personal choice, yet I bid smart and fast. I usually snipe, I admit that. If you don't have the money to buy, don't bitch. There will be others that will gladly buy.
As for the conversions I have sold, there has been only 6 in the last year. I never force people to buy them.
Zero, nah not 22.
Lets see.
9 on display,
7 for my brother
3 sealed.
So, yeah, 19. And, yes. I will be going for those last three. I am one of those that must have the right number.

That I have to disagree with. I understand your reasoning, as that's why I originally accumulated as many as I did, but it's a bit immoral. Don't get me wrong, practically everyone does it... so yeah, but calm down a bit (if you're just going to resell it).

I see your point there. I agree with you that thats how I made myself be through these sales.
Rest a sure I never intended to do that.
Though, I usually only sell one I HAVE TO. If you remember, well taioh, he bought one around november. Well, I needed the money to buy my Dragon Buckler. Earlier on, I sold another to buy my dyno buckler. I usually only sell when I need to buy some items.
The last one 3 three I sold on eBay were not even mine. My friend who regularly hits yard sales has taken notice of the old school PR items. So, he asked me to sell some of the stuff he has found. So really, I have sold only three converted ones.
One to Tommy5, one to Taioh, and another on ebay.
I forgot, a box regular one for 90 on ebay.

It's not about having the money. People do have the money (as seen on eBay), but if a small group of folks are buying up "everything" then it is frustrating. Again, not saying that you or A are buying up everything, but if you buy almost 20 morphers and proclaim that, expect folks to be a little miffed if they don't even have one (and yet have money).
That's all.

Well, here it is, current market values:
Power Morpher: $67
Power Coins: $31
Blade Blaster: $16
Total: $114
Power Morpher with Coins: $76
with Blaster total: $92
Power Morpher with Blaster NISB: $90.00
Too lazy to check if the ratios hold, but as predicted, it's better to open a NISB Power Morpher and sell the parts separately - the whole apparently is not worth the sum of its parts.
That said, the overall prices may have been higher had they not ended so close.

I'll admit it--most of the time when I scoff at some collector for having multiples of a certain item, whether it be a Morpher or Megazord, deep down it's 'cause I'm a little jealous. On the other hand, if I had the kind of resources they had, I wouldn't buy the same toy over and over; I'd buy it once then buy something else. But I guess that decision comes down each collector's individual approach to filling his/her shelves.
I think what annoys most people about others who mention their stockpile of MMPR Morphers is that while they're desperately looking for just one, other people have several that--in the have-not's opinion--are just "sitting there, gathering dust."
Of course, if those with many morphers suddenly began to sell their extras, unless they put them up on eBay as $50-60 Buy It Now's, they'd be labeled scalpers.

You know, I don't get why people would buy more than one zord, but yet, I buy more than one morpher... I guess its the coins.
Truthfully though, I don't collect much beyond MMPR, and the focus of my collection are morphers and coins; I own every major prop seller's version of the Dragon Coin, and anything that has been made morpher functional, I've bought (if they were selling it).
But, I am officially out of the morpher buying business. I've accumulated all that I need, and yes, it's a bit excessive... but that's all I really wanted out of Power Rangers toys.

Same here, I recently acquired my last morpher in this lot. Have no need for them. All that were angry can now rest, lol.

Lucky for you, lol. I still need two more, and hopefully you can customize one of them into the AAC version.
