Okay this one is for all the people out there that have regular mopher and want to mod it but do not want to destroy their original or just not that good at painting. All you will have to do is unscrew your face plate and just screw this one on. Add the Dragon Ranger aka Green Ranger coin and you are done. The coin is a custom that I have have done for a while but was just to lazy to mold it. Will come complete painted and with the all the sticks ready to go. Will also be doing it in Power Rangers Green Ranger version and also a regular Power Rangers Silver plate with Power Rangers stickers. Have not made up my mind on a price yet but when I finish my other stuff this weekend I will have these and a couple of other things for sale. Just giving you guys and girls a head up. As always question and comments are welcome.

And about the price they are $55 on ebay right now and are selling pretty well. As alway I give Rangerboard member a better price but on this item I can only give you guys and girls $5 off because of how much of a pain and how long each one take to make. Believe it or not, I can only make like 2 sets of these make a day. The reject rate is stupid. So if you guys want a set it will be $50 and shipping, not coin $40 and shipping and if you just want the plates and do not want them painted it will be $30 and shipping. The kit will be sanded filled and drilled for the screw. PM me or hit me here on this thread if interested.

Did you just call me a jagoff? I would assume you didn't. I sold so many morphers for 200+ lol!

Anyway, I am glad someone finally made replicas of the plates. Now, morphers will be more expensive! The risk is now lower!

Also guys the sticker on the one you see was done on not the best paper in the world was just put on fast to give you an idea. The finished one will be a much better color.

I was going to suggest if you were planning on making replicas of the original morpher plates.

I know that I could do with an ordinary grey plate to replace the mank that was given to me when I bought it off ebay!

make to sure to do busted plates. that's probably where you'll get the most interest aside from green ranger plates

ddmwolf

Yes they are replica and they are a pain to mold. I have so many defective ones that is not funny. They are almost perfect copies but as with all things there are little things here and there. The main thing that people will notice is that when they are closed together when on the mopher they do not close as perfect as the real one. I am just being picky but I would say that if you would call the original one a 100 then the copy would be like a 90-95. And yes Outatime I will be doing the busted ones, never have seen the love for them but if the people want them cant not say no. I plan to do them all even going to do a white ranger kit but still working on the coin. I hope to have my other mopher related prop this week end so keep an eye out guys.

You know what would be really cool for someone to make, but i dont know how well accepted theyd be. Custom green ranger morpher stickers, instead of the generic zyuranger stickers on the gold plates. some kind of adaptation of the dragon caesar chest piece swooshs, or the dragon caesar hip "ivy vines" for either the black bolts, or the red circle sticker.

Just a wacky thought i had, most likely fever/illness induced!

HA! I actually thought about doing this!

Anyway, I really like the plates. These would look nice on some of my busted dino bucklers.

ddmwolf
02-21-2008, 02:13 PM
Okay have had some question about how they look on the mopher here is one that is not finished and you can see they look great. As i said before they do not close perfect but with a little sanding I could fix most of it. But as I said before they will not be as perfect as the real ones.

Kyle16
02-21-2008, 03:27 PM
heh, seeing it in its base resin color is interesting. it looks like bone. it more accurately represents the hatched egg that its designed to resemble. I wonder how it might look as is, but painted to look aged.

ddmwolf
02-21-2008, 03:28 PM
Gold, Silver, Green, Blue, Purple, Yellow, Red, ect.,

They are all the same to me, have to paint it either way. If someone here gets one and they want them in something other than Gold or Silver that is cool I would paint them any color you want.

I'm interested myself, since I already repainted my old plates that were on the morpher. BTW, most times these days, not many heavy used Morphers do close the plates all the way, so I don't consider a slight opening a problem/

Have tried and having problems with it at the moment. Damn bubbles, the only stuff I can find that does not get bubbles takes like days to dry right. I will keep on working on it. It can be done I have a perfect green one but need to get the right stuff to make them out of.

This is pretty cool, good job. I actually was trying to do a full out cast of the whole morpher but not having the time nor most of the resources to cast the peices kinda holds you back on doing such a project...lol. Is doing the whole morpher possible?

ZeroXMarquis
03-05-2008, 03:01 PM
A functional one? Doubtful.

Whoever did it would probably have to reengineer the thing to make it open a different way, that uses less parts, and larger parts. Not only, that reflector material would be hard to emulate, so they would have to either change that, or find someone who has the material to shape it that way.

More trouble than its worth unless you can get some type of factory to mass produce what you would need - at which point, I'm sure Bandai would sue.

ddmwolf
03-05-2008, 03:02 PM
I have tried with no luck. They have to fit together perfect and with a resin copy it is just not possible. I had to scrap my project, that is the only reason I have these for sales. They were the first part of a full copy of a mopher. They did not work out so this is what it turned into. I am still working on a opening and closing mopher without the sound and lights and I know that I will finish it some day but it will not be a copy of the real one, it will have to be some me and my team comes up with. As with all problems if you throw enough, time , work and money at it, the problem will be solved.

And the reflector plate in the back is easy to do just the material that I found that dries perfectly without bubbles take forever to dry all the way. I have a perfect green one somewhere. Just a clear material with a little dye in it.

Also about the shipping I only ship express mail. There are just too many problems with regular air mail so shipping is $25. If you check with the USPS website you will see that is what they charge and I am not over charging for shipping. Regular air mail sucks and once you insure it or track it, just cost almost as much as express and is slower.

Hatched egg? It's supposed to be a claw.

personally i agree with kyle the design looks more hatched egg looking than claw looking, plus it goes well with the dino eggs that are plot devices in the actual show

So that's $50 + $25 S&H for the painted plates & coin. $40 + $25 S&H for the plates but no coin. Or $30 + $25 S&H for the unpainted plates. All prices are in US Dollars (As is usual for most people on here).
