Hi all. for the past few weeks or so, i've been working on an LG fic. it only has a prologue and seventeen eps, but i hope u all out there will enjoy it. i always loved the LG suits (Magna Defender was a little on the too bulky side), and i decided to write a fic about them. lemme know what u all think
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Prologue

Several years ago; a small home in Angel Grove, California

Men and women moved in and out of the small home on the rather quiet street, carrying various pieces of luggage and equipment out to several waiting vans. A woman stood in the master bedroom of the house, her hands on her hips, her angry gaze on the man who was packing his suitcase.

“ Didn’t you hear what I said?” the woman angrily demanded.

“ Please, Sara-Beth. Our daughter is right outside,” the man said.

“ Right now, I don’t care. She deserves to know her father is abandoning her,” the woman retorted.

The man sadly shook his head, taking his suitcase off the bed and walking from the room. The couple’s ten-year-old daughter stood outside in the hallway, curiosity in her eyes.

He smiled at her, then went to the front of the house, handing his suitcase out the door to a waiting man, who promptly put the suitcase with the others in the first van.

“ Is everything packed?” the man in the house asked, the question directed towards a man who was standing beside the first van, a clipboard in his hands.

“ Yes, sir,” the man replied.

The man in the house turned back to his wife, then turned to face his daughter.

“ You two can come with us to Terra Venture, Sara-Beth. My other daughter is going,” the man gently said, reaching out to touch his wife’s face. The woman glared and promptly slapped his cheek.

“ I will not go with you and your other daughter on that God-forsaken spaceship. Our daughter stays with me,” she said.

“ I wish you’d change your mind,” the man softly said.

The woman’s face took on a look of sadness, as did the little girl’s.

“ Daddy don’t go,” the girl pleaded.

“ Stanton, please stay here with us. Help me raise our daughter,” the woman pleaded.

“ I can’t, Sara-Beth. I was chosen as Commander on Terra Venture. I have to go,” the man said, turning and walking out of the house.

“ Stanton, if you get in that van and abandon us, don’t you ever come back. You’ll never see our daughter again,” the woman warned him. The man winced, but kept on walking.

Tears came to the woman’s eyes, and she hugged her daughter to her as she shut the door and both started crying. The men and women still outside politely ignored them, finishing their business before climbing into the vans and leaving the house far behind.

May 25, 2007 (Present day); an airplane

I nervously looked out the window of the small airplane. The plane was just taxiing to a stop on the runway, and the jarring motions of the landing were making my stomach do somersaults. “ You okay, sweetie?” my mother, Sara-Beth Hastings, asked me.

I slowly nodded my head.

“ I’m fine, mom,” I told her.

She smiled sweetly and gave my hand a quick squeeze. “ Neither of us has ever liked flying. And I’m sorry we had to move so suddenly, but the job opportunity was just to good to pass up,” she told me.

“ You’ve never told where we were moving to, mom. You made me wear earplugs so I couldn’t hear the announcer,” I pointed out to her.

She squirmed in her seat at that, avoiding my eyes. I knew something was up, because as I grabbed my bags and looked around me as I exited the plane, I felt a strange chill sweep up my spine.

Mom and I got in line, retrieving the rest of our luggage from the conveyor belt. As I went to step away, a rather handsome guy stepped forward, taking most of my luggage from me. Behind him, another guy took most of my mom’s luggage, and we followed them out of the airport to the curb, where a pair of jeeps were sitting. Our luggage was split between the two jeeps, then the two guys came to where my mom and I were standing between the two jeeps.

“ Welcome back to Angel Grove,” the man who’d carried my luggage said.

“ Angel Grove? Mom, you moved us back here?” I all but squeaked.

“ Oh, come on, Ban. Don’t tell me you forgot us,” the man beside my mother mockingly pouted.

When I still just stared at them, my mother gave me a small smile.

“ I called Jason and Tommy before we took off from Texas. Tommy was visiting Jason, so they agreed to help us move into our house,” she told me.

Now I did stare at the two men, my mouth opening and closing in shock.

“ Oh. My. God,” I gasped.

Jason playfully ruffled my hair. Mock glaring at him, I struggled to comb it back with my fingers.

“ Doesn’t look like she’s much of a kid anymore,” Jason said, smiling.

“ Aw, she’ll always be the little kid who always bugged me about riding my four-wheeler,” Tommy said.

My mother giggled at his words.

Letting out a huff, I scowled as I climbed into the second jeep, buckling in and crossing my arms as Jason and my mother climbed into the first jeep, while Tommy climbed into the second jeep with me.

Within seconds, we were merging with the traffic outside Angel Grove’s airport.

“ So, how’ve you been the past few years?” Tommy asked me.

“ Good,” I told him.

“ I haven’t heard from you since you left,” he said.

“ Yeah,” I grumbled.

“ Been a long time since you’ve been here,” he observed. I said nothing in response, slouching down a little in my seat as the jeep moved easily through the thin traffic. I kept silent until we pulled onto a street and began slowing down. My heart began accelerating, and very nearly stopped as we pulled up into the driveway of one of the houses and parked.

“ No,” I whispered, even as I unbuckled and stepped out of the jeep.

My mom’s face was emotion-filled as she came towards me. I looked at her, disbelief in my own eyes.

“ You didn’t,” I whispered.

“ I kept the house. When I got the job offer, I decided it was time for us to move back home,” she hesitantly told me.

“ Texas was our home! And South Dakota and Missouri before that!” I shouted at her.

She cringed at my words.

“ Ban, don’t shout at your mother. She always did what was best for you,” Tommy instantly told me, his voice and manner no longer joking.

I whirled on him.

“ Shut up, Tommy. Just - shut up. You don’t know what it was like,” I snapped at him.

“ I’m sorry if I failed you in some way, Bethany,” my mom softly told me. My anger at her vanished like a drop of rain under the Arizona sun, and I put my arms around her.

“ You ain’t failed me, ma. It’s not you I’m truly angry at,” I told her.

“ Yes, I know,” she softly whispered as we drew back from ne another.

“ We’ll take your luggage inside,” Tommy said.

My mom nodded, unlocking the front door of the house and pushing it open. I followed her inside, watching as she directed Tommy and Jason on where to put the suitcases and bags. As I walked into my bedroom, old memories assaulted me. I turned towards the window, walking over and running fingers over the grooves on the frame.

The grooves had been put there when I was eight, and I’d gotten mad at my parents for not letting me go see a movie with my friends, so I’d taken one of my dad’s knives and sliced the grooves in the frame. My parents had been mad at me, and I’d had my Sega system taken away for a week.

I looked up when Tommy and Jason and my mom came in.

“ You remember the grooves?” I asked her.

“ I sure do. You called us the next day and told us about it,” Tommy chuckled.

A knock suddenly sounded at the front door. Curious as to who could be knocking on our door when we’d just arrived, I followed the guys and my mom to the front door.

Jason opened it, shaking hands with the person beyond. A grin split my face as a rather large group of people came in, each one bearing a dish of food or a drink. They set everything down in the kitchen, then turned towards my mom and me.

“ Welcome back, Ban,” one of the women said.

I squealed like a little girl, throwing my arms around the woman’s neck.

“ God, Kim, you haven’t changed a bit!” I exclaimed, grinning like a Cheshire cat as I hugged all the guests.

Kim, Tanya, Adam, Rocky, Kat, Ashley, Carlos, T.J., and Cassie laughed, the guys clapping me on the back.

“ Look at her, little Ban all grown up,” T.J. joked.

“ Look at you, just as bald as ever,” I retorted, causing everyone to burst out laughing.

“ Same old Ban,” Adam agreed.

“ Well, not the same old Ban. I have my own four-wheeler,” I said with a look at Tommy.

“ And a motorcycle,” my mom spoke up.

“ And a lot more clothing,” Jason piped up.

“ Aw, shut up,” I playfully growled, causing everyone to laugh again.

“ Well, you guys just get out of the kitchen. Let us women take care of preparing the food dishes,” Kat said, making a shooing motion towards Adam and the others.

They shook their heads, moving into the living room area, where they promptly began companionably arguing over the remote.

My mother shook her head, moving forward and snatching it from Tommy. She took a seat on the lone empty chair, turning the TV to the local news station. The guys groaned, and I rolled my eyes, leaning against the edge fo the couch Tommy and Jason shared.

A special news report came on, just as I remembered something. I hurried to my bedroom, rooting around in my bags. Just as I took out what I’d been looking for, I heard footsteps coming down the hall. I ducked into the closet, just as several of our guests came into the room.

I had planned on scaring them, not expecting when a sudden beeping came from the objects on Tommy, Jason, and Kim’s wrists. I stayed stock still as I watched Kim press the button on her watch thingie.

“ Kim here, who’s this?” she asked.

“ Kimberly, where are you and the others?” a man’s voice asked.

“ We’re at our old friend Bethany’s house. Why?” Kim asked.

“ Something’s happening. I don’t know what, but evil is stirring, and I think you and the other former Rangers will be needed,” the man said.

I couldn’t stop the gasp that came from my throat, and as all three people whirled towards the closet, I shoved the door open and stepped out.

“ Other former Rangers?” I asked.

“ Who’s that?” the voice from the wrist thingie asked.

“ Bethany,” Kim started to say.

“ You guys are still wearing those weird watch thingies. After all these years, you’re still wearing ‘em. And what did that dude mean by other former Rangers?” I asked her.

“ Forget your friend, Kim. Gather Cassie and Adam and the others and meet me at the house of Sara Hastings,” the man said.

“ Um, that’s where we’re at,” Kim said.

“ Why?” the man asked.

“ She’s my mother,” I spoke up.

“ I’m pulling up outside now. I’m coming on in,” the man said, and just like that communications were cut.

“ What the hell was that all about?” I demanded to know.

“ Bethany, it might be best if you stayed in your room for awhile. Your mother and the rest of us have some things to discuss,” Kim suggested.

“ Oh, forget that. This is my house too,” I told them, rushing past them when the front doorbell rang. I got there just as my mother was opening the door.

She took one look at the man there and froze. “ Andros,” she simply said.

The man came in, locking the door behind him, even as the women came from the kitchen.

“ What’re you doing here? I thought you were in the new Megaship orbiting Earth,” Ashley said.

“ I had to land,” the man said.

“ Mom, what the hell is going on?” I asked my mother as I came to stand beside her. The man’s eyes narrowed immediately on the small pendant on the necklace I was wearing.

“ So, you split the Ruby and gave her half,” he observed.

“ Huh?” I asked.

“ Bethany, I think there’s some things we need to discuss,” my mother slowly said.

“ Ms. Hastings, I’m going to have to ask you to destroy the two pieces of the Ruby. It’s for the best,” the man - Andros - told her.

My mother sighed, then nodded. “ Bethany, please hand me the necklace,” she told me.

“ Huh? No way. You gave me this for my thirteenth birthday. You told me it was an important part of our family’s past,” I protested.

“ Bethany, I wouldn’t ask if Andros weren’t asking me to,” she told me.

“ Bethany, give her the necklace,” Jason urged, and I shifted nervously as I realized that everyone was now gathered around me, my mom, and Andros.

“ No. It’s mine,” I protested, tucking the thing under the edge of my shirt.

“ Bethany Ann, I don’t feel like arguing with you. Please just give me the necklace. I’ll buy you another one,” my mother told me.

“ You yourself said that this was a one-of-a-kind gift, mom,” I told her.

Tanya suddenly grabbed at me, but I ducked away from her, dashing for my bedroom, where I locked the door and pulled the dresser in front of it. Pounding immediately began on the door.

“ Bethany, this is stupid. It’s just a necklace. Let us in,” Jason said from the other side of the door.

I don’t know what was going on, but I most certainly didn’t like it.

“ No! It’s mine!” I shouted through the door at him.

“ Go around, get through the window,” I heard one of the guys say.

“ I don’t know what’s going on, Mom, but they’re not getting this necklace. Sorry, but I’ll be back when they’re gone,” I said, grabbing my purse off the dresser and dashing to the window.

I hurriedly opened the window, carefully climbing out before dashing towards my motorcycle, which the movers were just now unloading; apparently, they’d only just arrived. I leapt onto the seat just as the front door of the house flew open, and everyone came pouring outside.

“ Stop her!” Jason shouted at the movers.

“ Adios, amigos!” I called out, revving the engine to life and peeling rubber getting out of there. I sped away down the street, old memories bombarding me relentlessly as I took one street after another.

I’d just turned a corner onto a rather familiar street, when shots began peppering the asphalt around me. I tried swerving to avoid the shots, but several hit the tires of the bike, sending it spinning out of control. I went flying through the air as the bike hit the curb, my body landing roughly on the concrete sidewalk. Something cushioned my fall, though, and when I looked down as I shoved myself up, I saw old exercise mats, spread out over the cement; my impact had scattered them.

I groaned as I straightened up, glaring as Andros, Cassie, Ashley, T.J., and Carlos came to a stop in front of me, their vehicles hovering above the ground, their weapons still drawn, though not pointed at me.

“ Hand over the necklace, Bethany. We don’t want to have to take it from you by force,” Cassie told me.

“ It’s mine, you can’t have it,” I retorted, backing up against the wall of the building behind me.

Carlos sighed and shook his head.

“ Grab her,” Andros ordered. The others advanced on me on their vehicles - gliders, really.

Before they could get any closer, a volley of blasts rained down around them, causing them to suddenly veer out of the way. I fell flat on my butt, watching as the gliders once more came to hover in front of me.

“ What the heck was that?” T.J. said.

“ Ah, the former Space Rangers. How delightful,” a strange voice said, and I gasped as a freaky-looking - thing appeared from the alley between the building I was leaning against.

“ No way!” Cassie exclaimed.

“ The Lost Galaxy and Lightspeed Rescue teams destroyed you!” Carlos gasped in disbelief.

“ My sister revived me,” the creature said, just as a second creature appeared, this one from thin air.

I shrank back against the wall in fear as the eyes of the two female creatures turned towards me.

sorry i ain't posted on this in a while. been kinda busy, and ain't felt like posting. but now, will try to post at least once a week until all eps r up.
-----------------------------------------------
“ Ah, the daughter of the Phantom Ranger,” the second creature said.

“ Bethany, run!” Cassie shouted.

“ Great idea!” I agreed, leaping to my feet and turning and running away down the street. I didn’t get a hundred feet before I heard someone following me, as well as a slight whirring sound. I turned my head briefly to look, and ran smack into a hard, cold surface.

I started to whirl away, but a firm hand grabbed my arm from behind, forcing me to whirl around. I cringed as the grip of the first creature tightened on my arm.

“ Let her go!” Cassie shouted, aiming her weapon at the creature as she crouched on her glider.

“ Make me, Pink Ranger,” the creature sneered.

“ I’m sorry, Bethany,” Cassie said, and before I could react, she adjusted the aim of her weapon and fired. The shot hit the pendant, causing it to shatter even as the creature and I were thrown back several feet.

“ No!” the creature cried out.

“ My pendant!” I gasped, my angry gaze turning to Cassie. “ You destroyed my pendant!” I screamed at her.

“ I had to, Bethany,” she told me.

“ It belonged to the girl, Pink Ranger,” the creature pointed out.

“ Yeah!” I screamed.

“ Shut up, Trakeena,” Cassie snapped.

I glared hatefully at Cassie, picking up a piece of ruined asphalt off the ground, hurling it straight at her. She easily dodged it, but the asphalt banged into her glider, causing her to resheath her weapon so she could get her glider under control.

When she had it under control, she turned it back around to face us. “ Look, Bethany, just get away from Trakeena while I take care of her,” Cassie told me, firing at Trakeena.

The creature blocked the blast, retaliating by blasting the glider out from under Cassie. She fell to the asphalt, and the glider slid to a halt on the sidewalk.

Cassie groaned and jumped back to her feet, summoning a weapon that everyone in town - well, everyone that’d been here that fateful day - had seen.

“ Get away from Bethany, Trakeena,” Cassie warned the creature, who still had a grip on my arm.

“ Yeah,” T.J. said as he and the others arrived on their gliders; at the same moment, the second creature appeared beside Trakeena.

“ The girl is of no use to us now. Get rid of her,” the second creature ordered Trakeena, before she disappeared as quickly as she’d appeared.

“ No!” Ashley shouted, trying to fire her weapon at Trakeena. Trakeena ducked, and the blasts hit the air - at the same time that the others fired their weapons. The other blasts hit the air at the same time, and a strange vortex-like thingie opened.

Trakeena sneered at the Rangers as she straightened back up. She roughly shoved me to the ground, then hopped through the vortex. Seconds later, it closed behind her.

I spit out a mouth of bloody saliva - I’d bitten my cheek when I fell - as I shoved myself to my feet. My eyes were sparking with anger as the Rangers came to hover less than five feet from me.

“ Come on, Bethany. Let’s go back to your house. Your mother’s worried,” Carlos said, holding out his gloved hand. In response, I threw a small rock at him, which bounced off his helmet.

“ Screw you guys. I thought you guys were my friends, but time this guy shows up,” I said, jerking my thumb at Andros, “ - you start shooting at my bike and trying to steal my pendant. And then Pinkie here destroys it,” I snapped.

“ We had to. We had no choice. Trakeena and the forces of evil were after the two halves of the Power Ruby so they could unite them and take over Earth,” Andros told me.

“ Aw, screw that crap,” I snapped.

“ It’s true, Bethany,” my mom said as she and the others from the house appeared in beams of various-colored lights.

“ Come back to your house where your mother can explain everything,” Jason told me.

I turned saddened eyes to my mother, even as I shook my head.

“ No,” I said, shocking everyone.

“ Bethany, please,” my mother pleaded.

“ I love you, ma, and I always will, but I can’t stay here with these guys in town. I’m leaving,” I told them, just as a vortex exactly like the one a few minutes earlier appeared directly behind me.

“ No!” Tommy shouted, leaping at me. I stepped backward into the portal - to avoid him - and opened my mouth and screamed as I went hurtling through time and space.

My scream was cut short minutes later when the vortex dropped me on a cold, hard floor. I groaned as I picked myself up, my eyes flying open when I realized I wasn’t anywhere I’d ever been before.

“ What in the galaxy was all that screaming?” I heard a familiar voice ask.

“ I don’t know. Think the Sting Wingers have found someone for us to torture?” another familiar voice said.

“ How should I know, they’re yours, not mine,” the first voice said. I looked desperately around for a place to hide, but there was none. I turned towards where the voices were coming from, just as two figures stepped into the hall.

“ Hey, what are you doing here?” the strange creature asked, pointing her weapon at me.

“ How should I know, I ain’t the one who created the vortex thingie, I just stepped through it,” I retorted.

“ Maybe she could be of use to us,” Trakeena mused.

“ Huh?” I asked at the same time the other creature said, “ What?”

“ Scorpina, you’re obviously out of touch with evil. Why don’t we use her against them?” Trakeena asked the other creature.

“ We don’t have any powers for her, and that puny human has no powers of her own,” the thing called Scorpina pointed out.

“ Watch it, space girl,” I told her.

She actually smiled.

“ And what will you do to me if I don’t, human?” she sneered.

“ Go check on the progress the Sting Wingers are making, Scorpina. I’ll take our little guest on a tour of the ship,” Trakeena said.

Grumbling under her breath about “bossy little sisters,” Scorpina whirled and stalked away.

“ She seems a little on the grouchy side,” I commented.

Trakeena rolled her eyes. “ Come along, human,” she told me, turning and walking away from me. As I had absolutely no idea where I was, I hurried along after her. We did quite a lot of walking for the next two hours, and by the time she called an end to the tour, my feet were a little sore.

Trakeena touched the end of her fingernails to the pad on the wall by the door in front of us, causing a soft ding to sound out as the door opened.

“ You will stay in this room. A Sting Winger will wake you up when it’s time,” she told me, giving me a slight nudge before the door whooshed shut. I heard her footsteps echoing down the hallway outside, and I waited until they disappeared until I began exploring the room.

Everything in it was strange. The bed, the sheets, the other furniture - everything. At the moment, I couldn’t care less. I was glad to climb up onto the bed. I was out as soon as my bed hit the pillow.

* * * * *

I groaned when I felt something poking my shoulder.

“ Go ‘way,” I moaned, pulling the covers up over my head. I shrieked when the something suddenly shoved me right off the bed, sending me sprawling on the floor.

“ What the hell?!” I screamed, jumping back to my feet, rubbing my sore rear. I shut my mouth when I saw Trakeena and a really freaky-looking thing - a Sting Winger, I presumed - standing on the other side of the bed. Trakeena tossed a suit of clothes at me. I scowled as I caught them.

“ Change into them. We have a little project for you,” Trakeena told me.

“ What project?” I wanted to know.

“ You’ll see,” she told me, leaving the room. I scowled again as I hurried into the clothes, tossing my own onto the bed before going out into the hall. Trakeena wasn’t there, but the Sting Winger started off down the hallway, motioning for me to follow.

We soon arrived in what Trakeena had said was the main control room. I hesitantly took a seat at the table Scorpina and Trakeena were sitting at.

“ What do you two want with me?” I asked them. Barely had the words come from the tip of my tongue than the doors whooshed open once more, and in walked two more creatures. When one of them started towards me, I leapt up and backed up against the wall.

“ Sit down, Furio. Ecliptor, hand the human what you found,” Trakeena ordered the two generals.

Ecliptor handed me what he held, then sat down in the empty chair beside mine.

“ Hey, wait a minute, you’re one of those freaks that fought the Space Rangers with that chick called Astronema!” I exclaimed.

“ I am not a freak, human. I am Ecliptor, former general of Astronema’s armies,” he told me.

“ Thought you and all those other baddies were destroyed,” I pointed out.

“ Scorpina allowed Trakeena to revive us, after she revived her,” Furio said. I gulped and hesitantly sat back down.

“ Open the box, human,” Trakeena ordered. Glancing briefly at all four aliens, I nonetheless did as she’d ordered. I was puzzled when I saw the object lying inside.

“ Why the heck is there a see-through card in here?” I asked.

Scorpina snorted. “ Foolish human, that is the only remaining Psycho Data Card in existence,” she snapped at me.

I gasped and looked down at the card. “ Holy shit,” I gasped. “ But why give it to me?” I asked, looking back up at Trakeena.

“ Simple. We wish for you to go - get your revenge, if you will, on that aggravating Pink Space Ranger,” she said.

I gaped openly at her.

“ What? Attack her? I have no fighting skills whatsoever,” I told her.

Scorpina rolled her eyes as her sister continued.

“ It can unfortunately now only be used by a human. The Data Card will imbue you with every aspect of power Psycho Pink had. Her moves, her powers, her voice - everything. There is even an alternate human form encoded onto the card,” she told me.

I didn’t think twice about it. I was pissed that a person I’d called friend for years, a Ranger, had destroyed something I’d always held dear. Even though my mother had wanted to do so, I still loved her, but was majorly pissed at Cassie.

“ What do I do?” I asked, just as an alarm began blaring . A dozen Sting Wingers suddenly appeared, beginning to check the control systems, even as Trakeena pressed a button where she sat. A holographic image suddenly sprang up in the middle of the table, causing me to jerk in shock.

“ The new Megaship,” Furio growled.

“ They’re heading for Mirinoi,” Ecliptor said.

“ Excellent. Ecliptor, Furio, take the human and bind the Data Card to her. Sting Wingers, set a course for Mirinoi. If we don’t beat the Rangers there, you’ll be space dust,” Trakeena said.

I protested as Ecliptor and Furio suddenly got up and grabbed my arms, dragging me over to a nearby cylindrical tube.

“ What the hell? Hey, let go of me!” I shouted.

“ If you say so, human” Ecliptor said as the two generals released me, sending me stumbling into the tube. I righted myself, just as the door slid closed. I stood there, my arms crossed, my eyes glaring at the two generals as Furio inserted the Data Card into a slot on a nearby console.

However, my glaring was cut short as a strange gas began to fill the chamber, and electricity began to dance all around me. I screamed as the gas and electricity began entering my body, causing me to fall to my knees against the side of the tube. I hunched over, squeezing my eyes shut, even as I continued to scream.

I stopped screaming when the electricity stopped. I took in several lungfuls of air as the gas dissipated and the door to the tube opened. Two pairs of hands grabbed my arms, hauling me to my feet and out of the tube. They promptly let me go, and I looked up at Trakeena.

“ How do you feel, human?” she asked me.

“ Great,” I told her. And it was the truth. I’d not felt this good in all my nineteen years.

“ You will have several attributes that the older versions of Psycho Pink did not. I mentioned the human form. Unfortunately, her monster form was destroyed, so a new form was incorporated into the card,” Trakeena informed me.

“ Your mission is to go down to the planet Mirinoi. You will wait there until we send you the signal to begin your attack,” Scorpina told me.

I nodded and briefly inclined my head. “ Whatever you say,” I idly said, crossing my arms across my chest. Scorpina muttered something under her breath as she pressed a series of buttons on the console in front of her. Instantly, a lighter-than-air feeling came over, and everything began passing in a faster-than-a-cheetah blur. I uncrossed my arms as my surroundings solidified. I was now between two rather primitive-looking dwellings.

I didn’t have time to think on this, because a young girl suddenly ran by me.

“ C’mon, the Space Rangers are here!” she exclaimed, grabbing my hand and tugging me along. I allowed her to do so, and soon we came to a rather large crowd. I craned my neck to try and see over everyone’s heads, but that didn’t work, so I politely but firmly pushed my way through the crowd. I didn’t get far, however, before a man barred my way.

I saw that a line of men and women were keeping the curious onlookers at bay. And they I saw why. The ship I’d seen in the image on Trakeena’s ship was sitting less than fifty feet away. The door suddenly slid open, and out stepped five oh-so familiar faces.

“ It’s okay, Mike. Your guys can step away,” Andros told the man directly in front of me. He nodded, and the men and women stepped away to stand on either side of the huge group of people.

“ Space Rangers, why have you come to Mirinoi?” an old white-haired man asked.

“ Yeah, we haven’t seen you in awhile,” another person said as five more people stepped forward. They were smiling as they shook hands with the Space Rangers.

“ Why are you here?” the black guy in the green working clothes asked Andros.

“ I’m afraid I have some bad news, people of Mirinoi,” Andros began.

“ What bad news?” the same old dude asked.

“ An old enemy of the very first team of Power Rangers has resurfaced. Her name is Scorpina. She has revived her sister, and we believe the two are headed for Mirinoi,” T.J. said.

“ Who’s her sister?” the man with the blue and white clothes asked.

“ You’ve fought her before. I’m afraid, my friend, that Trakeena is once again alive and well,” Andros told the man.

Shocked gasps reverberated through the entire group gathered.

“ Are you absolutely sure?” the guy in the red shirt asked Andros.

“ I am afraid so, Leo,” Andros said, just as a volley of blasts rained down on the crowd.

“ Sting Wingers!” one person screamed, as well over a dozen of the flighty buzzing creatures flew onto the scene.

“ Get the people to safety, we’ll handle these freaks,” Andros told the man called Leo. The man nodded, and his four friends hurried towards the crowd, even as the Sting Wingers continued firing at not only them, but also the Space Rangers.

I ducked to avoid a blast, glancing up when one of the Sting Wingers fell to the ground beside me. I growled and yanked it to its feet.

“ Do not harm the children and mothers, or I’ll boot your asses into the nearest volcano,” I hissed at it, throwing it away from me even as a group of his comrades surrounded me.

Now! I heard Scorpina and Trakeena shout inside my head.

I nodded my head. “ Psycho Power!” I heatedly whispered. An amazing feeling surged over me, and when I glanced down, I realized I was in the suit of Psycho Pink. I laughed and teleported into the branches of a nearby tree, watching as the now-morphed Space Rangers began fighting against the encroaching Sting Wingers.

I was happy when Cassie got separated farther from the others; I wasn’t happy when I saw a Sting Winger right behind her, and it was trying to subdue a struggling child.

The Sting Winger quickly subdued the girl and started to pick her up. I growled, throwing my hand forward, causing the Sting Winger to drop the girl and disappear in a shower of sparks.

“ Cassie!” I heard Andros shout.

“ That wasn’t me!” she shouted back.

I laughed again, teleporting to the base of the tree.

“ No, but it was me,” I said, stepping slowly out into view.

Cassie’s helmet-covered head swivelled in my direction, and she very nearly dropped her weapon as she took a step backwards. The Sting Wingers cleared a small circle around her, and I strode into the circle, glaring at her from underneath my helmet.

“ You!” she gasped.

“ Aww, Pinkie, dontcha recognize your old foe? It can’t have been that long,” I said; my attitude was partly mine, but my voice was a hundred percent that of Psycho Pink.

“ You can’t be back again. This is just one of Trakeena’s tricks,” she protested.

I glared at her, throwing my hand forward. A bolt of energy flew forward, slashing her chest and sending sparks flying from her suit, even as she stumbled backward.

“ Cassie, are you okay?” I heard Ashley ask via the connection the Space suits shared; apparently, my suit was connected to their frequency.

“ She’s back. Psycho Pink is back,” Cassie whispered in shock. I smiled with grim satisfaction as all four of the other Space Rangers suddenly leapt onto the scene, landing beside their teammate.

“ How many times do we have to destroy them?!” T.J. angrily shouted.

“ Where are your friends, Psycho Pink?” Carlos asked.

“ Oh, it’s just lil’ ol’ me this time,” I assured him.

“ Girls, go help the Mirinoians. We’ll handle Psycho Pink and the Sting Wingers,” T.J. told Cassie and Ashley.

I chuckled and shook my head, causing the Rangers’ grips to tighten on their weapons.

“ Nah, I don’t think so. Ecliptor, get your green-veined butt down here!” I shouted, using my suit’s connection with Trakeena’s ship. The Rangers took several steps back as the hated general appeared in a flash of green lightning.

“ You were supposed to handle them yourself, Psycho Pink,” he told me.

“ Yeah, but there ain’t no fun in that. All I want is Cassie. You and the Sting Wingers can have the rest,” I told him.

“ Something’s not right,” Andros observed.

“ Aww, shut up, Andros. Sting Wingers, get them!” I ordered the creatures. They immediately surged forward, and Ecliptor joined them, even as I teleported forward, grabbing Cassie and throwing her far away from the others.

She landed with a painful thud on the ground. I teleported to several feet in front of her, staggering as she shot me with her weapon.

“ Ah, the Pink Ranger has not slacked in her fighting skills. Too bad, because I’m an improved version on the old Psycho Pink,” I told her, holding my hand forward. A flash of pink lightning struck it, solidifying into a nasty-looking, mostly black sword.

“ You’re going down, Psycho Pink,” she told me, leaping suddenly at me. I snarled and leapt at her, and we began clashing, weapon against weapon, blow for blow. Psycho Pink had some wicked-killer moves, no doubt about it, but my being human seemed to hamper the improvements that’d been made on the Data Card.

I growled as I was blasted back against the trunk of the nearby tree.

You’re supposed to be an improvement! Trakeena shouted in my mind.

“ Aww, give me a break, I told you I can’t fight!” I shouted back at her.

“ Huh?” Cassie said.

“ Oops,” I whispered, realizing I’d spoken where Cassie could hear me.

“ You’re not Psycho Pink. Who are you?” Cassie asked.

“ Aww, shit,” I mumbled. And wouldn’t you know that at that moment, Andros appeared right in front of me, slashing me across the chest, sending me flying through the air. I landed with an audible thud, angrily shoving myself back to my feet.

“ You are so gonna regret that, Andros. First, Pinkie here destroys something that belongs to me, and now, you people are beating the crap out of me. This really sucks,” I sulked.

“ You’re right. The voice is Psycho Pink’s, but her words and attitude are not,” Andros agreed with Cassie.

“ Who are you?” Cassie asked again, and I swore.

You fool! Attack them! Trakeena shouted inside my head.

I groaned and did as she said, trying to allow Psycho Pink’s subconsciousness to temporarily take over my own. No matter how hard I tried, I failed. Sure, I scored several good blows against Andros and Cassie, but they were thoroughly beating the shit out of me.

Ecliptor appeared beside me all of a sudden, blasting the two Space Rangers to the ground, before blasting me as well.

“ What the heck?” Cassie asked as she climbed to her feet, just as Ecliptor disappeared. Pain surged over me, and I gasped as my suit began sparking, then shattered off completely. When I opened my eyes, I saw that I no longer had my suit on, but I was wearing a different suit of armor that covered all but my head.

Power surged through me, and I looked up at Andros, loving the feeling of shock radiating from his body.

“ Astronema’s suit?! But how?” Cassie asked.

“ Pinkie, you are so getting on my nerves. I think it’s time my Sting Winger buddies helped out a little,” I said, snapping my fingers. Instantly, a dozen Sting Wingers surrounded the two Rangers. I withdrew my staff, which was now strapped to my back, and moved in once more to attack the two Rangers. With this new armored form, I was doing a hell of a lot better.

I smiled as I slashed my staff down towards Cassie’s chest. Andros threw himself in the way before the staff could hit her, and it hit him instead. He slumped to the ground beside his teammate, both their suits sparking. With one last shimmer, the suits shattered away, leaving them unmorphed on the ground.

I smiled again as the remaining four Sting Wingers jerked the two to their feet.

Still smiling, I strode up to them, glaring especially at Cassie.

My gaze traveled down to her morpher, and my smile grew wider. I reached for it, only to get blasted backward. I swore as I picked myself up, my eyes growing wide when I saw a sixth Space Ranger - the legendary Silver Ranger - now fighting the four Sting Wingers.

“ You’ll regret interfering, Silver Ranger,” I snarled, raising my staff and firing a blast of energy at him. I had a sense of humor even in this form - albeit a little twisted, as I was half evil if not more - and the blast struck him right in the ass, causing him to fly through the air and land right between his teammates. They helped him to his feet, their eyes moving back to me yet again.

“ Who are you and what do you want?” Andros asked me.

“ Why, I want Pinkie to pay for what she did. And thanks to Trakeena and Scorpina, I will get revenge,” I snarled at him, teleporting straight to him and socking him in the gut. Silver Ranger tried to slash me with his weapon, but I used my staff to deflect his slash, using my momentum to kick both him and Cassie in the stomach.

They fell to their knees beside Andros, and only Silver Ranger got back to his feet, albeit a bit shakily.

“ I won’t let you destroy my friends,” he told me, firing his weapon at me. I smirked at him as my staff deflected the blast, causing it to strike him right in the groin; hadn’t meant for that, but it was enough to make me chuckle as he collapsed to the ground beside his teammates, his suit shattering off him.

“ Now, to take what I came for,” I snapped, moving towards the Rangers.

“ Go assist Furio,” Ecliptor said as he briefly appeared beside me. He disappeared just as quickly. I swore yet again, nonetheless teleporting to where I could sense the other general at. He was fighting two guys and two girls, while a third girl knelt beside a third guy, who was wincing as his leg was jostled. Even I could tell from where I stood that the guy’s leg was broken.

I threw my hand forward, blasting the people fighting Furio before teleporting to his side. The four people groaned as they got back to their feet. The eyes of the blond woman who was helping the fallen man grew wide and frightened when she saw me and the weapon I held. “ No,” she whispered.

Information flew through my mind, as did old memories. “ Ah, the former Astronema. What, jealous that another woman has your armor and staff?” I asked her.

“ I don’t know who you are, but they’re just using you, as they did me. The Rangers will eventually defeat you,” she told me.

“ Yada yada yada. God, you people all say the same things. Can’t you think of something better to say?” I asked with a growl.

“ Yeah. You’re toast,” the guy with the broken leg said. I turned to fire at his friend, and wound up getting blasted right in the chest, sending me stumbling against Furio.

“ Who did that?” I angrily demanded to know.

“ I did!” a male voice said. I looked up in shock at the man that stood atop the large rock, a lethal-looking sword clutched in his hands. Memories flew through my mind. They were few, but they were enough, and I swore angrily.

“ So, Mr. Mike Corbett is back to steal from me again,” I growled.

“ Huh?” all four of the people gathered around Furio and me said.

I took a step closer to the man with the sword.

“ Mike Corbett stole something from me,” I insisted.

“ I stole nothing from you. I don’t even know you,” Mike insisted.

“ Oh, come off it. You mean you don’t remember the day you and your bastard friends stole my father from me and my mother?” I demanded.

“ I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he insisted.

“ Quit talking with him and destroy him!” Furio shouted at me. I swung my staff, hitting him and blasting him, sending him flying.

“ Shut up, Furio,” I growled at him.

“ Fine, deal with them yourself,” he growled back, disappearing the same way Ecliptor had.

“ What’s up with that chick?” the black guy asked.

“ I say we take her back to the Megaship and find out who she really is,” T.J. said as he and the other Space Rangers strode up.

I had eyes only for Mike. “ What, you’re gonna let them take me away, too? You honestly don’t remember who I am?” I asked him, my voice filled with anger.

“ I told you, I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Mike insisted.

My eyes were fairly smoldering by now. “ Then maybe you’ll remember me now!” I screamed at him, raising my staff to blast him. Unfortunately, the black guy was a little to close, and he easily kicked my staff out of hands, even as Mike leapt and landed ten feet from me.

“ Surrender,” he ordered, his sword pointing straight at me.

Tears glittered in my eyes, and began slowly dripping down my cheeks.

“ She’s crying,” the girl in the pink and white outfit gasped.

I put my hand over my heart, then slid it down my left arm. Instantly, my armor was gone, and I was left in the outfit I’d put on in Trakeena’s ship. With a snap of my fingers, however, I was in my regular clothes. In fact, it was in an exact replica of the outfit I’d worn the last time Mike had seen me; though this one had, of course, been updated to my current size.

“ Remember me now, Mr. Corbett?” I asked him.

“ Bethany!” the Space Rangers gasped, shocked.

“ Take her to Terra Venture,” Mike ordered.

“ What? Why?” the guy in the blue outfit asked him.

“ Tell them your last name,” Mike ordered me.

“ It’s not Hastings?” Cassie asked, puzzled.

“ No, it’s not. That was my mother’s maiden name. And I’m not going to Terra Venture with you people. I’ll die first,” I told them, once more donning my helmetless suit of armor. My staff was instantly in my hands, and I faced off against the unmorphed Rangers.

“ Sting Wingers, get them!” I shouted, snapping my fingers. Another three dozen of the creatures appeared, instantly moving in on the Space Rangers and the other people. I blasted Mike off his rock before leaping over it, running away through the woods.

Steps immediately began following me, and I forced myself to speed up. The footsteps, however, were getting closer. I turned around to fire my staff, and wound up getting hit from the front and back, sending me flying into the bushes.

My head hit a rock, and a gash was opened up, causing blood to begin leaking all over my neck and my suit. I groaned as I used my staff to shove me back to my feet, glaring as Mike and the four people from the clearing grouped together.

“ Come with us, Bethany,” Mike said.

You pathetic human! I can’t help you with you bleeding like that! Blast them and get out of there! Trakeena roared inside my head.

“ I - won’t go with you to - Terra Venture,” I growled, raising my Staff again and firing it at Mike.

His friends blocked the blast, deflecting it back at me. I, of course, went flying through the air, landing in the low-hanging branches of a tree. My staff fell to the ground, and, seconds later, as the people hurried up to the base of the tree, I fell beside it. My armor sparked and shimmered, shattering off of me.

I lashed out with my fists and feet as Mike and the other two guys picked me up. My blows were like a toddler’s fists, but nonetheless my arms were still twisted behind me and handcuffed. I forced my tears back with sheer will as I was led through the forest. I refused to look up, until I realized we’d come to the edge of the forest.

When I did look up, I saw Terra Venture sitting several yards from us.

“ Come, let’s take her to the prison,” the dude in the blue uniform said.

“ No, I won’t go on that ship! It’s what took my father from me! I won’t go!” I screamed, renewing my struggles again. The black guy sighed and picked me up, throwing me across his shoulder as he and his friends entered the huge ship.

People stopped to gawk at us as the group moved through the ship. We moved onto an elevator, and I briefly ceased my struggles, starting up again the second the elevator stopped and they stepped out into the hall. Tears were gathering in my eyes again, and they began to leak out the corners of my eyes as I was tossed into a cell of sorts. I landed roughly on the bed inside.

“ Mike, what are you going to do with her?” the woman with the brown hair asked.

“ Kai, Damon, go get the Commander. I don’t care where he is, just get him down here. Kendrix, you and Maya get a medic. I’ll go talk with Andros and the Space Rangers,” Mike said. All five people moved swiftly down the hall, leaving me alone with my injuries and my tears, I pressed my face to the pillow, allowing my tears to soak into it. The sound of footsteps about five minutes later brought me back to myself. I jerked to a sitting position, forcing my tears away just as the door to the cell opened.

I sat there as I watched several pairs of feet approach me.

“ Bethany, we brought a medic to see to your wounds,” the woman with the blond hair spoke up.

“ Not like I have much choice,” I sadly muttered, meekly sitting there as a pair of hands gently began washing the blood off my neck and the side of my face. I did, however, let out a few choice words as the person began applying antiseptic to the gash on my head.

The medic pretended not to notice, continuing on with her work. I looked up at her as she stepped back from me, her medical bag now in her hands.

“ I will take my leave now,” the medic said, leaving me in the cell with the two women.

“ Bethany, why did you attack your friends? What’s so bad about being on Terra Venture?” the blonde asked me.

“ Pinkie pissed me off. And this ship is what took my father away from my mother,” I muttered.

My head jerked up again when I heard voices coming back down the hall.

“ Mr. Corbett, while you may have taken the Red Quasar Saber back out of the stone, that doesn’t give you the right to have the other Rangers talk to me in such a way,” a man’s voice was saying. My body went stock-still at the sound of his voice, and I watched from under my bangs as the black dude, the other dude, Mike, and another man stepped up to the cell door.

Mike pressed something on the keypad, and the door whooshed open.

“ I am sorry, sir, but I thought you should meet this woman. She attacked the Space Rangers as Psycho Pink, then donned Astronema’s old suit and attacked them, as well as us,” Mike told the man.

“ Why did you bring me to see a common prisoner?” the man asked.

“ Sir, I think you should talk to her,” Mike insisted.

“ I have nothing to say to him,” I muttered, just as the Space Rangers appeared behind the men.

“ Ban, you should,” Cassie insisted.

“ Shut up, Pink Ranger. I have nothing to say to this man, just as he had nothing to say to me when I was ten,” I spat back at her.

“ Mr. Corbett, I don’t appreciate you dragging me down here for this,” the man told Mike.

“ But Commander, she’s your daughter,” Mike protested.

“ My daughter is working at the daycare on the surface,” the man said in a tightly-controlled voice.

“ Bethany, talk to him,” Ashley said.

The man before me went as still as a statue, then bent down and slowly brushed the hair back from my face. I slowly looked up at the man that’d abandoned me when I was but a child of ten.

“ Get away from me, Father,” I growled at him, baring my teeth at him.

He gasped and took a half-step back.

“ It can’t be,” my father - Commander Stanton - whispered.

“ Oh, but it is, Father. It’s me, Bethany Ann, in the flesh. What, having a hard time believing I’m here? Those goons of yours brought me here,” I snapped at him.

Father whirled to face the guys. “ Go, leave us,” he ordered.

“ Commander, I don’t think we should leave you alone with her,” Mike protested.

“ That’s what he does, Mike. Leaves his kids alone with their mothers while he goes to command a stupid spaceship,” I coldly said.

“ Bethany, please, give me time to explain,” my father pleaded.

I leapt to my feet, ignoring the looks that came into the eyes of the Space Rangers and the other people.

“ Why should I? You left me, you left Mother. You refused to stay, no matter how hard we begged. So why should I listen to anything you have to say?” I asked him.

Before he could reply, alarms began blaring, causing me to flinch.

“ Commander, Sting Wingers are attacking the daycare where your daughter works!” a breathless woman said as she came running up to the cell.

Interesting story. I find it quite odd that Bethany and her mother are friends with almost every past ranger upto LG. Other than that, I dunno. It's an OK fic, but it seems too unbelievable, even for PR.
